Jan 13 – THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH!

“He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of truth” (John 14:16, 17).

Many people think that the Spirit of truth is merely one which gives spiritual experiences and gifts. But the Holy Spirit brings the Gifts of the Spirit and powers into you. Above everything, He stays and dwells within you.

Imagine that a person loved by your family is visiting your home. During his visit, he gives you a present, wrapped with colour papers. The children standing around, are more attracted by the colour papers and the ribbon tied around the pack. The youth in the family will be more particular to grab the gift placed inside the packet. But the focus of the elders is always focussed on welcoming them with love and in showing them hospitality.

Similarly, some people keep on talking about the experience they underwent while receiving the Holy Spirit. They keep speaking for years together about how their body shook while receiving the anointment and the vision they had at that time. These people are spiritual children. The experience of these people is like the colour papers used for wrapping the gift. Some others, value the Gifts and powers brought by the Holy Spirit more than the Holy Spirit himself. May you exalt the Holy Spirit more than anything else!

Holy Spirit is the one who preaches you. When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth (John 16:13). You will receive the perfection only if you go into all truths. Similar to how a child advances in its education stepwise from I standard to higher studies, in the same way, the Holy Spirit teaches you the truths one by one and leads you ahead.

All those who are guided by the Holy Spirit remain as children of God. When you accept Jesus as your Saviour, you become His children (John 1:12). Taking birth by the Spirit is the experience of a child. At the same time, getting guided by the Holy Spirit is the experience of the matured children.

Dear children of God, you have to advance in your Spiritual life. Dedicate yourself for the Holy Spirit to stay, dwell in you and guide you every minute.

To meditate: “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you” (John 14:26).

Jan 13 – சத்திய ஆவி!

“…என்றென்றைக்கும் உங்களுடனேகூட இருக்கும்படிக்குச் சத்திய ஆவியாகிய வேறொரு தேற்றரவாளனை அவர் உங்களுக்குத் தந்தருளுவார்” (யோவா. 14:16).

சத்திய ஆவியானவர் என்று சொல்லும்போது, அவர் வெறுமனே சில ஆவிக்குரிய அனுபவங்களை தருபவர் என்றும், வரங்களை மட்டுமே தருகிறவர் என்றும் அநேகர் எண்ணுகிறார்கள். ஆனால் ஆவியானவர் ஆவியின் வரங்களையும், வல்லமைகளையும் உங்களுக்குள் கொண்டு வருகிறார். எல்லாவற்றிற்கும் மேலாக அவர் உங்களோடு தங்கி, உங்களுக்குள் வாசம் பண்ணுகிறார்.

உங்கள் வீட்டிற்கு அன்பான ஒருவர் வருகிறார் என்று வைத்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள். அவர் கலர் பேப்பர்களால் சுற்றப்பட்ட அழகான பரிசுப் பொருளை உங்களுக்குக் கொண்டுவந்து கொடுக்கிறார். சிறு பிள்ளைகள் அந்த பரிசு பொருளிலே சுற்றியிருக்கிற கலர் பேப்பர் வேண்டும், அதை சுற்றி கட்டியிருக்கிற ரிப்பன் வேண்டுமென்று விரும்பி எடுத்துக் கொள்ளுகிறார்கள். வாலிபர்களோ, உள்ளேயிருக்கிற அந்த பரிசு பொருள் தங்களுக்கு வேண்டுமென்று அதன் மேல் நோக்கமாயிருக்கிறார்கள். ஆனால், வயது முதிர்ந்தவர்களோ பரிசைக் கொண்டு வந்த அந்த அருமையானவர்களை உபசரிப்பதில் முக்கியத்துவம் காட்டுகிறார்கள்.

இதுபோலவே, சிலர் பரிசுத்த ஆவியை பெற்றபோது, தங்களுக்கு கிடைத்த அனுபவங்களைக் குறித்தே பேசிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள். அபிஷேகம் பெற்ற போது, அவர்களுடைய சரீரம் உலுக்கப்பட்டதையும், தரிசனம் கண்டதையும் பற்றியே பல ஆண்டுகளாக சொல்லிக்கொண்டே இருக்கிறார்கள். இவர்கள் ஆவிக்குரிய குழந்தைகள். இவர்களது அனுபவம் கலர் பேப்பரைப் போன்றது. வேறு சிலர், ஆவியானவரைவிட அவர் கொண்டுவந்த வரங்களையும், வல்லமையையுமே மேன்மை பாராட்டுகிறார்கள். நீங்களோ, ஆவியானவரையே மேன்மைப்படுத்துவீர்களாக.

பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரே உங்களுக்குப் போதிக்கிறவர்! சத்திய ஆவியாகிய அவர் வரும்போது, சகல சத்தியத்திற்குள்ளும் உங்களை நடத்துவார் (யோவா. 16:13). நீங்கள் சகல சத்தியத்திற்குள்ளும் சென்றால்தான் பூரணத்தைப் பெற முடியும். எப்படி ஒரு குழந்தை முதல் வகுப்பிலிருந்து, படிப்படியாக மேல் படிப்பிற்கு சென்று கொண்டிருக்கிறதோ, அதுபோலதான் ஆவியானவர் உங்களுக்கு பல சத்தியங்களை ஒவ்வொன்றாகப் போதித்து உங்களை முன் நோக்கி நடத்திக் கொண்டு வருகிறார்.

எவர்கள் எல்லாம் தேவனுடைய ஆவியினாலே நடத்தப்படுகிறார்களோ அவர்கள் அனைவரும் தேவனுடைய புத்திரராயிருக்கிறார்கள். நீங்கள் இயேசுவை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளும்போது, இயேசுவின் பிள்ளைகளாகிறீர்கள் (யோவா. 1:12). ஆவியினால் பிறப்பது பிள்ளையின் அனுபவம். அதே நேரம், கர்த்தருடைய ஆவியினால் நடத்தப்படுவது முதிர்ச்சியடைந்த புத்திரரின் அனுபவம்.

தேவபிள்ளைகளே, ஆவிக்குரிய ஜீவியத்திலே நீங்கள் முன்னேற வேண்டும். ஆவியானவர் உங்களுக்குள் தங்கி வாசம்பண்ணி, ஒவ்வொரு நிமிடமும் உங்களை வழி நடத்த ஒப்புக்கொடுக்க வேண்டும்.

நினைவிற்கு:- “என் நாமத்தினாலே பிதா அனுப்பப்போகிற பரிசுத்த ஆவியாகிய தேற்றரவாளனே எல்லாவற்றையும் உங்களுக்குப் போதித்து, நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொன்ன எல்லாவற்றையும் உங்களுக்கு நினைப்பூட்டுவார்” (யோவா. 14:26).

Jan 12 – சத்துருக்களுக்கு முன்பாக!

“என் சத்துருக்களுக்கு முன்பாக நீர் எனக்கு ஒரு பந்தியை ஆயத்தப்படுத்தி, என் தலையை எண்ணெயால் அபிஷேகம் பண்ணுகிறீர்; என் பாத்திரம் நிரம்பி வழிகிறது” (சங். 23:5).

நீங்கள் எப்பொழுதெல்லாம் சத்துருவை பார்க்கிறீர்களோ, அப்பொழுதெல்லாம் சத்துருக்களுக்கு முன்பாக கர்த்தர் உங்களுக்கு ஒரு பந்தியை ஆயத்தப்படுத்தியிருக்கிறார் என்பதையும் நினைவுகூருங்கள்.

தாவீதுக்கு ஏராளமான சத்துருக்கள் இருந்தார்கள். முதலில் அதைக் குறித்து தாவீதுக்கு மிகுதியான கவலையும் துயரமும் இருந்திருக்கக்கூடும். ஆனால், முடிவில் சத்துருக்களால் எவ்வளவுக்கெவ்வளவு நிந்திக்கப்பட்டாரோ, அவ்வளவுக் கவ்வளவு அவர் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டார். தாவீதின் சொந்த சகோதரர்கள் சத்துருக்களாய் மாறினபோது, கர்த்தர் அவர்கள் மத்தியிலே தாவீதை ராஜாவாக அபிஷேகம் பண்ணினார்.

என்னுடைய தகப்பனார் பதினாறு ஆண்டுகள் அரசாங்கத்திலே பணியாற்றிவிட்டு கிறிஸ்தவ உலகத்திலே முழு நேர ஊழியக்காரனாய் இறங்கி வந்தார். ‘அநேக ஆவிக்குரிய தகப்பன்மார்கள் என்னை அரவணைப்பார்கள், ஆலோசனை கூறுவார்கள், உற்சாகப்படுத்துவார்கள்’ என்றெல்லாம் அவர் எண்ணினார். ஆனால் அவருடைய வளர்ச்சியைக் கண்டு பொறாமைப்பட்டு பலர் அவரைப் பகைத்தார்கள், ஒரு எழுத்தாளர் பொய்யையும், புரட்டையும் கலந்து பலவாறாக எழுதினார். தங்கள் எழுத்து திறமையினால் அவதூறு சேற்றை அவர்மேல் வீசினார்கள்.

அவர்கள் எவ்வளவுக்கெவ்வளவு என் தகப்பனாரை இகழ்ந்து எழுதினார்களோ, அவ்வளவுகவ்வளவு கர்த்தர் அவரை ஊழியத்திலே உயர்த்திக் கொண்டே போனார். ஒவ்வொரு முறையும் சத்துருக்களுக்கு முன்பாக அவருக்கு ஒரு பந்தியை ஏற்படுத்தினார். தலையை எண்ணெயினால் அபிஷேகம் பண்ணி ஆவியின் வரங்களையும், வல்லமைகளையும் அதிகமாகக் கொடுத்தார். அவர்கள் என் தகப்பனாரின் பெயரைக் கெடுத்து எழுதும்போதெல்லாம் கர்த்தர் தனக்காக வைத்திருக்கிற மகிமையான பந்தியை தன் விசுவாச கண்களினால் என் தகப்பனார் ஆவலுடன் எதிர்பார்த்தார். பெற்றுக்கொள்ளவும் செய்தார்.

இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்களை, அவர்களது சத்துருக்களான எகிப்தியர்கள் சிவந்த சமுத்திரம் வரையிலும் துரத்திக் கொண்டே வந்தார்கள். துரத்துவதற்கு கர்த்தர் அவர்களுக்கு அனுமதி அளித்திருந்தார். இஸ்ரவேலரை துரத்துவதும், அவர்களை நிந்திப்பதும், பரியாசம் செய்வதும் சத்துருக்களுக்கு மிகவும் விருப்பமாயிருந்தது. முடிவாக, ஒரு நாள் சிவந்த சமுத்திரத்தில் அவர்களை கவிழ்த்துப் போட்டார். இஸ்ரவேலருக்கோ அன்று முதல் கர்த்தர் வானத்திலிருந்து மன்னாவைப் பொழிந்து விசேஷித்த பந்தியை கட்டளையிட்டார்.

தேவபிள்ளைகளே, நீங்கள் ஒருவேளை நிந்தையும், அவமானமும் நிறைந்த பாதையிலே நடக்கக்கூடும். உங்களுக்கு சத்துருக்கள் ஏராளம் பெருகியிருந்திருக்கக் கூடும். கவலைப்படாதேயுங்கள். கர்த்தர் உங்கள் சத்துருக்களுக்கு முன்பாக நிச்சயமாகவே ஒரு பந்தியை ஆயத்தப்படுத்துவார்.

நினைவிற்கு:- “உனக்குச் சகாயஞ் செய்யும் கேடகமும் உனக்கு மகிமை பொருந்திய பட்டயமும் அவரே; உன் சத்துருக்கள் உனக்கு இச்சகம் பேசி அடங்குவார்கள்; அவர்கள் மேடுகளை மிதிப்பாய்” (உபா. 33:29).

Jan 12 – IN THE PRESENCE OF ENEMIES!

“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over” (Psalm 23:5).

Whenever you see the enemy, keep it in your remembrance that God has prepared a table before you in the presence of your enemies.

David had numerous enemies. In the beginning, David might have worried a lot because of them. But in the end, in proportion to the same extent of reproach he suffered, he got blessed. When David’s brothers turned as enemies to him, God exalted David as king before them.

My father became a fulltime servant of God after serving the Government for sixteen years. He thought that many people in the evangelical arena would come and embrace, counsel and encourage him. But, instead, many people were jealous of his spiritual growth and envied him. One writer wrote scurrilously, and some others made use of all their writing skills in accusing and defaming him.

But, while these people went on tarnishing the image of my father, God kept on exalting him in the ministry. Every time God prepared a table for him in front of his enemies. God anointed his head with oil, and liberally gave him the gifts and powers of the Spirit. Whenever such people wrote defaming him, my father eagerly expected with his eyes of faith, the glorious table which God had arranged for him. He also received it every time.

The children of Israel were chased up to the Red Sea by the Egyptians who were their enemies. God had permitted them to that extent. The enemies were so happy in chasing, reproaching and mocking the children of Israel. In the end, one day, God toppled them in the Red Sea. From that day onwards, God began to pour manna from heaven and prepared a special table for the Israelites.

Dear children of God, you may be walking in a path filled with reproach and shame. There may be numerous enemies for you. Do not worry. God will surely arrange a table for you in the presence of your enemies.

To meditate: “The shield of your help and the sword of your majesty!Your enemies shall submit to you and you shall tread down their high places” (Deuteronomy 33:29).

Jan 11 – சகலவித நன்மைகளையும்!

“நாம் அனுபவிக்கிறதற்குச் சகலவித நன்மைகளையும் நமக்குச் சம்பூரணமாய்க் கொடுக்கிற ஜீவனுள்ள தேவன் மேல் நம்பிக்கை வைக்கவும்…” (1 தீமோ. 6:17).

நம் தேவன் சகலவிதமான நன்மைகளையும் சம்பூரணமாய்க் கொடுக்கிற தேவன். சிலர் தேவனை பாடுகளுக்குட்படுத்துகிறவராகவே காண்கிறார்கள். எப்பொழுதும் “நான் யோபுவைப் போல சோதிக்கப்படுகிறேன்” என்றே சொல்லிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள். ஆகையினால்தான் அவர்களால் கர்த்தர் தருகிற சம்பூரணமான ஆசீர்வாதங்களை முழுமையாய் பெற்றுக்கொள்ள முடிவதில்லை.

உலகத்தில் உங்களுக்குப் பாடுகளுண்டு. உபத்திரவங்களுண்டு. அதே நேரத்தில், கர்த்தர் உங்களுக்கு பல நன்மையான காரியங்களையும் வாக்குப்பண்ணியிருக்கிறார். மற்றவர்களைப் பார்க்கிலும் தம்முடைய பிள்ளைகளை மேன்மைப்படுத்தி, ஆசீர்வாதங்களைத் தரவும் காத்திருக்கிறார்.

கர்த்தர் உங்களை ஆசீர்வதிக்கும்போது, நீங்கள் சந்தோஷமாய் அதை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு உலக வாழ்க்கையிலும், ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்க்கையிலும் சிறந்தோங்கி செழிக்க வேண்டும். உன்னதத்திற்குரிய சகல ஆசீர்வாதங்களையும் பெற்றுக்கொள்ள வேண்டும். ஆகவேதான் அப். பவுல், “…நான் எந்த நிலைமையிலிருந்தாலும் மனரம்மியமாயிருக்கக் கற்றுக்கொண்டேன். தாழ்ந்திருக்கவும் எனக்குத் தெரியும், வாழ்ந்திருக்கவும் எனக்குத் தெரியும்” (பிலி. 4:11,12) என்று குறிப்பிடுகிறார்.

தேவபிள்ளைகளே, கர்த்தர் எவ்வளவாய் உங்களை நேசித்து உங்களுக்காக உலகத்தை சிருஷ்டித்தார்! சூரியன், சந்திரன் இவைகளோடு நல்ல சீதோஷ்ண நிலைகளையும், நல்ல கனிவர்க்கங்களையும், மரங்களையும், செடி கொடிகளையும் உருவாக்கியிருக்கிறார். அன்புள்ள பரம தகப்பனாக உங்களோடுகூட இருந்து, தகப்பன் தன் பிள்ளைகளுக்கு இரங்குகிறதுபோல இரங்குகிறார். மட்டுமல்ல, நீங்கள் அனுபவிப்பதற்கு சகலவிதமான நன்மைகளையும் உங்களுக்குச் சம்பூரணமாய் கொடுக்கிற ஜீவனுள்ள தேவனாயிருக்கிறார்.

நீங்கள் அவரைப் பார்த்து மனம் திறந்து, “அப்பா, பிதாவே” என்று அழைக்க முடியும். ஜெபித்து, அவரிடத்திலிருந்து உச்சிதமான ஆசீர்வாதங்களைப் பெற்றுக் கொள்ள முடியும். கேட்கிற எவனும் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறான் என்று வேதம் சொல்லுகிறது. நீங்கள் குறைவுபட்டு, வாட வேண்டும் என்பது ஒருநாளும் அவருடைய சித்தமல்ல, பிரியமுமல்ல. “பிரியமானவனே, உன் ஆத்துமா வாழ்கிறதுபோல நீ எல்லாவற்றிலும் வாழ்ந்து சுகமாயிருக்கும்படி வேண்டுகிறேன்” என்பதே கர்த்தருடைய சித்தமாய் இருக்கிறது.

தேவபிள்ளைகளே, உங்களுடைய கடன் பிரச்சனை மாற வேண்டுமா? உங்களுடைய பிள்ளைகள் மேன்மையாய் உயர்த்தப்பட வேண்டுமா? நல்ல வேலையில் அமர வேண்டுமா? ஆவியின் வரங்களினாலும், கிருபையினாலும் நிரப்பப்பட வேண்டுமா? ஆத்துமாக்களைக் கர்த்தருக்கென்று அதிகமாய் ஆதாயம் செய்ய வேண்டுமா? சம்பூரணமாய் கொடுக்கிற தேவனிடத்தில் கேளுங்கள். நீங்கள் விசுவாசத்தோடு கேட்பீர்களென்றால், நிச்சயமாகவே பெற்றுக்கொள்ளுவீர்கள்.

நினைவிற்கு:- “நீங்கள் எல்லாவற்றிலும் எப்பொழுதும் சம்பூரணமுடையவர்களாயும், சகலவித நற்கிரியைகளிலும் பெருகுகிறவர்களாயுமிருக்கும்படியாக, தேவன் உங்களிடத்தில் சகலவித கிருபையையும் பெருகச் செய்ய வல்லவராயிருக்கிறார்” (2 கொரி. 9:8).

Jan 11 – ALL TYPES OF GOOD THINGS!

“Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy” (I Timothy 6:17).

Our God is one who gives all good things perfectly. Some people always see God to be one who subjects us to troubles. They keep saying that they are being troubled just as Job suffered. It is because of this, they are not able to receive the perfect blessings completely.

Sufferings are there for you in the world; tribulations also are there. At the same time, God also has promised you many good things. He waits to exalt His children and give them more blessings when compared to others.

When God blesses you, you have to gleefully accept the same and prosper in both spiritual and worldly lives. You should also receive all the blessings of the Most High. That is why Paul the Apostle says, “…for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound” (Philippians 4:11, 12).

Dear children of God, how greatly God loved you and created the world for you! Along with the sun and the moon, He has also provided you with suitable climatic conditions, varieties of fruits, trees and plants for you. He stays with you as a Heavenly Father and is merciful towards you, similar to how a father cares for his children. Not only that. He remains as a God with life and gives you all good things perfectly for you to enjoy.

You can look at Him and call Him “Abba, Father.” You can pray and receive precious things from Him. The Scripture says that ‘everyone who asks receives’. It is never the will and wish of God for you to struggle due to shortfalls. “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers” is the will of God.

Dear children of God, do you want your debt problem to get solved? Do you want your children to get exalted in their lives? Do you want them to get employed in high positions? Do you want to be blessed with gifts of the spirit and grace? Do you want to gain more souls for God? Seek from God who gives perfectly. If you seek with faith, you will surely receive.

To meditate: “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work” (II Corinthians 9:8).

Jan 10 – HE WILL GIVE PEACE!

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27).

The world promises a kind of peace to the people. Presidents of different countries conduct peace talks and try to bring in peace in their respective countries. But all these peace are just temporary.

The world could never bring real peace into a man’s mind. Jesus Christ said, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you” (John 14:27). Jesus Christ alone is the origin of peace. His name is “Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6). When He took His birth on earth, a multitude of the heavenly hosts sang praising Him, “Let there be peace on earth.”

Dear children of God, have you received that real peace which Jesus Christ gives, in your heart? The Scripture says, “Depart from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it” (Psalm 34:14). “Let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it” (I Peter 3:11).

The Scripture alone is showing you the way to receive the great peace of God. The Psalmist David says, “Great peace have those who love your law and nothing causes them to stumble” (Psalm 119:165). God graciously gives much peace to those who love His Word. Only the people who love the Scripture would get filled with peace.

God has promised you not only great peace but also an eternal one. The Scripture says, “Oh, that you had heeded my commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river and your righteousness like the waves of the sea” (Isaiah 48:18). How blessed it is for God to give you peace which runs like a perennial river!

God not only promises a great and eternal peace but also a perfect one to His children. Isaiah writes, “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you because he trusts in you” (Isaiah 26:3).

Dear children of God, if you hold on to God firmly and place your faith on His Word, you will receive peace which cannot get shaken away under any circumstances. Nobody could spoil your peace.

To meditate: “Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way” (II Thessalonians 3:16).

Jan 10 – சமாதானம் தருவார்!

“சமாதானத்தை உங்களுக்கு வைத்துப் போகிறேன்… உலகம் கொடுக்கிற பிரகாரம் நான் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கிறதில்லை” (யோவா. 14:27).

உலகம் ஒரு வகை சமாதானத்தை ஜனங்களுக்கு வாக்குப்பண்ணுகிறது. பல தேசத்து ஜனாதிபதிகள் சமாதானப் பேச்சுகளை நடத்தி, தேசங்களுக்குள்ளே சமாதானத்தைக் கொண்டு வர முயற்சிக்கிறார்கள். ஆனால் இந்த சமாதானங்களோ தற்காலிகமானவையே.

ஒரு மனிதனுடைய உள்ளத்தில் உண்மையான சாந்தியை, மன நிம்மதியை உலகத்தால் கொண்டு வர முடியாது. இயேசு சொன்னார், “என்னுடைய சமாதானத்தையே உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கிறேன்; உலகம் கொடுக்கிறபிரகாரம் நான் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கிறதில்லை” (யோவான் 14:27). கிறிஸ்து ஒருவரே சமாதானத்திற்கு ஊற்றுக்காரணர். அவருடைய நாமம் சமாதானப்பிரபு என்னப்படும் (ஏசா. 9:6). அவர் பூமியிலே பிறந்தபோது, பரம சேனைகளின் திரள், “பூமியிலே சமாதானம் உண்டாவதாக” என்று துதித்துப் பாடினார்கள்.

தேவபிள்ளைகளே, இயேசு கிறிஸ்துதாமே கொடுக்கும் அந்த மெய் சமாதானத்தை நீங்கள் உள்ளத்திலே பெற்றிருக்கிறீர்களா? வேதம் சொல்லுகிறது; “தீமையை விட்டு விலகி, நன்மை செய்; சமாதானத்தைத் தேடி, அதைத் தொடர்ந்துகொள்” (சங். 34:14). “பொல்லாப்பை விட்டு நீங்கி, நன்மை செய்து, சமாதானத்தைத் தேடி, அதைப் பின்தொடரக்கடவன்” (1 பேதுரு 3:11).

கர்த்தருடைய மகத்தான சமாதானத்தை பெற்றுக்கொள்ள வேதமே உங்களுக்கு வழிகாட்டுகிறது. சங்கீதக்காரராகிய தாவீது “உம்முடைய வேதத்தை நேசிக்கிறவர்களுக்கு மிகுந்த சமாதானமுண்டு; அவர்களுக்கு இடறலில்லை” (சங். 119:165) என்று சொல்லுகிறார். தேவன் தம்முடைய வார்த்தையை நேசிக்கிறவர்களுக்கு மிகுந்த சமாதானத்தைத் தந்தருளுகிறார். வேதத்தை நேசிக்கிறவர்கள் மட்டுமே சமாதானத்தினால் நிரம்பியிருப்பார்கள்.

மிகுதியான சமாதானத்தை மட்டுமல்லாது, வற்றாத சமாதானத்தையும் தேவன் உங்களுக்கு வாக்களித்திருக்கிறார். வேதம் சொல்லுகிறது, “ஆ, என் கற்பனைகளைக் கவனித்தாயானால் நலமாயிருக்கும்; அப்பொழுது உன் சமாதானம் நதியைப் போலும், உன் நீதி சமுத்திரத்தின் அலைகளைப்போலும் இருக்கும்” (ஏசா 48:18). நதியைப்போல எப்போதும் வற்றாததும், ஊற்றெடுத்து ஓடுவதுமான சமாதானம் தேவனால் உங்களுக்கு அருளப்படுகிறது எத்தனை பாக்கியம்!

மகத்தானதும், வற்றாததுமான சமாதானத்தை மட்டுமல்லாது, பூரண சமாதானத்தையும் தேவன் தம்முடைய பிள்ளைகளுக்கு வாக்களித்திருக்கிறார். ஏசாயா எழுதுகிறார், “உம்மை உறுதியாய்ப் பற்றிக்கொண்ட மனதையுடையவன் உம்மையே நம்பியிருக்கிறபடியால், நீர் அவனைப் பூரண சமாதானத்துடன் காத்துக்கொள்வீர்” (ஏசா. 26:3).

தேவபிள்ளைகளே, கர்த்தரைப் பற்றிக்கொண்டு அவருடைய வார்த்தையை நம்பியிருப்பீர்களென்றால், எந்த சூழ்நிலையிலும் அசைக்க முடியாத சமாதானத்தைப் பெற்றுக் கொள்ளுவீர்கள். உங்களுடைய சமாதானத்தை யாராலும் கெடுக்க முடியாது. நினைவிற்கு:- “சமாதானத்தின் கர்த்தர்தாமே எப்பொழுதும் சகலவிதத்திலும் உங்களுக்குச் சமாதானத்தைத் தந்தருளுவாராக” (2 தெச. 3:16).

Jan 9 – PRINCE OF PEACE!

“Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end” (Isaiah 9:7).

Once a child is born, there is deep thinking among people in choosing an ideal name to it. The father of the child will be suggesting some of the names of his ancestors. The mother will try something from her side. Further, a name from the Bible will also be added to the list making the total to three or more. In the end, people will not use any of the three but will call the baby with a new pet name.

Isaiah, the prophet, comes out with many names to Christ and these names are based on His characteristics. We can find six such names in chapter 9, verse 6 of his book. We find around 272 names for God in the Scripture.

Isaiah longed that Jesus Christ will come as a Prince of peace and the period of Messiah will be peaceful to the Israelites, and it will give hope to the people who had been toiling in the life of slavery under the rule of the opponents. The angels also came out with the Good News of the birth of Jesus and told that the earth would come under peaceful governance. But, since the Jews failed to find the Messiah in Jesus, they also failed to know peace.

The name ‘Prince of Peace’ indicates His governance of peace. The rule of the Guptas is known as the ‘Golden Age.’ The peaceful, fearless and prosperous life is the reason for that. Once peace gets established, all these things will arrive automatically. Today, the world is not under the rule of the Prince of Peace but a worldly ruler (John 14:30, 16:11). The people who commit sin join together with satan and make the world devoid of peace. Those who accept Jesus Christ in their hearts will always have peace.

While listening to the sermon of D. L. Moody, the conscience of a person pricked him. But even then, he was not prepared to accept Jesus Christ. He came to D. L. Moody with anger and said, “I never worried about my sins until you arrived here. When you talk about law and judgment, my mind burns like hell. You talk about Salvation, but it saddens me. I am unable to refrain from coming to your meetings. If you move away from my place, I will regain the peace I had earlier.” Since he was in the clutches of satan, he was unable to know the greatness of real peace.

Dear children of God, is your heart possessing the real peace which the Prince of Peace gives? Or, you misjudge the insensitive and blunt heart to be the peace? Come nearer to Jesus. He will graciously give your heart a peace which no one could take away.

To meditate: “The Lord will give strength to His people; the Lord will bless His people with peace” (Psalm 29:11).

Jan 9 – சமாதானப் பிரபு!

“அவருடைய கர்த்தத்துவத்தின் பெருக்கத்துக்கும், அதின் சமாதானத்துக்கும் முடிவில்லை” (ஏசாயா 9:7).

ஒரு குழந்தை பிறந்தவுடன் அதற்கு என்ன பெயர் வைக்கலாம் என்று ஆழ்ந்த யோசனை செய்கிறார்கள். தகப்பன் தன் வீட்டார் பெயர்களைச் சொல்லுவார். தாய் தன் வீட்டுப் பெயர்களில் ஒன்றை விரும்புவாள். பின் திருமறைப் பெயரும் ஒன்று தீர்மானித்து வைத்து, மூன்று நான்கு பெயர்களாக்கி விடுவார்கள். முடிவில் வைத்த பெயரை சொல்லிக் கூப்பிடாமல், ஒரு செல்லப் பெயர் சொல்லி அழைப்பதுதான் வழக்கம்.

ஏசாயா தீர்க்கதரிசி கிறிஸ்துவின் குணாதிசயங்களை வைத்து அவருக்கு பல பெயர்களைச் சூட்டுகிறார். ஏசாயா 9:6-ல் ஐந்து பெயர்களைக் காணலாம். வேத புத்தகத்தில் சுமார் 272 பெயர்கள் கர்த்தரை குறிப்பவையாக இருக்கின்றன.

அடிமை வாழ்விலும், அந்நிய ஆட்சியிலும் அடிபட்ட இஸ்ரவேலருக்கு நம்பிக்கையூட்ட மேசியாவின் காலம் சமாதானமாக இருக்கும் என்றும், அவர் சமாதான பிரபுவாக வருவார் என்றும் ஏசாயா ஏங்கினார். இயேசுவின் பிறப்பில் தேவதூதர்களும் நற்செய்தி கூறி, இயேசுவின் பிறப்பில் பூமியில் சமாதான ஆட்சி வரும் என்கிறார்கள். ஆனால் யூதர்கள் இயேசுவில் மேசியாவைக் காணாததால் சமாதானத்தையும் அறியவில்லை.

‘சமாதான பிரபு’ என்னும் பெயர், அவருடைய சமாதானமான ஆளுகையைக் குறிக்கும். குப்தர்கள் அரசாட்சியின் காலத்தை “பொற்காலம்” என்று அழைத்தனர். ஏன்? சமாதானமான வாழ்க்கை, பயமற்ற வாழ்க்கை, செழிப்பான வாழ்க்கை. சமாதானமிருந்தால்தான் இவையெல்லாம் தானே வரும். தற்கால உலகம் சமாதான பிரபுவின் ஆட்சியின் கீழ் இல்லாமல் உலகத்தின் அதிபதியின் கீழ் இருக்கிறது (யோவா. 14:30, 16:11). பாவம் செய்யும் மக்களும், பிசாசானவனும் சேர்ந்துதான் உலகில் சமாதானத்தை இல்லாமலாக்குகிறார்கள். கிறிஸ்துவை உள்ளத்தில் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டவர்களுக்கு என்றும் சமாதானம் உண்டு.

மூடிப் பிரசங்கியாரின் பிரசங்கத்தைக் கேட்ட ஒருவர் தன் மனசாட்சியால் குத்தப்பட்டார். ஆனாலும், அவருக்கு இயேசுவை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள விருப்பமில்லை. அவர் கோபமாக மூடிப் பிரசங்கியாரிடம் வந்து, “நீங்கள் இந்த ஊருக்கு வரும் முன் என் பாவத்தைக் குறித்து நான் கவலைப்படவில்லை, நீங்கள் நீதியைக் குறித்தும் நியாயத்தீர்ப்பைக் குறித்தும் பேசும்போது, என் உள்ளம் நரகம் போல் எரிகிறது. நீங்கள் இரட்சிப்பு என்று சொல்லுகிறீர்கள். ஆனால் இது என்னை வேதனைக்குள்ளாக்குகிறது. உங்கள் கூட்டங்களுக்கு வராமலுமிருக்க என்னால் முடியவில்லை. நீங்கள் இந்த ஊரை விட்டுப் போய் விட்டால் எனக்குப் பழைய சமாதானமிருக்கும்” என்றார். பிசாசின் பிடியில் அவர் இருந்ததால், உண்மை சமாதானத்தின் மேன்மையை அவர் அறியாதவராய் இருந்தார்.

தேவபிள்ளைகளே, சமாதானபிரபு அளிக்கும் உண்மையான சமாதானம் உங்கள் உள்ளத்தில் உண்டா? அல்லது உணர்ச்சியற்ற, மழுங்கிப் போன இருதயத்தை சமாதானம் என்று எண்ணிக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றீர்களா? இயேசுவண்டை வாருங்கள். அவர் உங்கள் உள்ளத்தில் எடுபடாத சமாதானத்தைத் தந்தருளுவார்.

நினைவிற்கு:- “கர்த்தர் தமது ஜனத்திற்குச் சமாதானம் அருளி, அவர்களை ஆசீர்வதிப்பார்” (சங். 29:11).
