April 04 – RESURRECTED!

“I ….was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore” (Revelation 1:18).

Today, we joyously remember the Resurrection of Jesus Christ and celebrate the same. The big difference between Christianity and other religions is in the Resurrection of Christ. In other religions, the founders died, and that was the end. But Jesus Christ is one who cannot be bound by death (Acts 2:24). The Lord untied Jesus from the bounds of suffering of death and raised Him. Jesus Resurrected.

The Roman Kingdom tried to suppress Him in the tomb. The soldiers closed the tomb, sealed and protected it. But, as He had promised, Jesus Christ resurrected on the third day. It is this which had made you proclaim with joy “My Redeemer lives.” Is it not?

You are not exalting a god who is dead. You are not worshipping a god who has died and has disappeared. You are not worshipping tombs and statues. You worship Jesus Christ who sacrificed His own life, resurrected and still living for your sake. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. His compassion and power have not changed.

The Resurrection of Jesus Christ is an incident which has given you many promises. It also has given you glorious hope. The hope that you too will be resurrected just as He did. By His Resurrection, He has proved that death is not an end but just a rest.

Jesus Christ rose alive and is seated on the right side of the Lord. From there, He keeps on advocating to God for you. He keeps pleading and praying for you. He keeps on pouring the power of the Holy Spirit; keeps on giving the revival.

Job says, “For I know that my Redeemer lives, and He shall stand at last on the earth” (Job 19:25). Jesus Christ, who resurrected will come again. You will be blessed to meet the saints of the Old and New Testaments face to face when He comes. What a blessed day it would be when both the heavenly family and the earthly family unite together!

To meditate: “And this is the will of Him who sent me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day” (John 6:40).
