Mar 3 – FIRE WHICH BECAME THE WALL!

“I will be a wall of fire all around her, and I will be the glory in her midst” (Zachariah 2:5).

God is a protecting fire for you. He is one who will stand as a wall around you. He is the fire around you, preventing your enemies from harming or troubling you.

A brother had reached a particular place for doing ministry and, when he was about to share the Word of God, the pastor who had invited this brother came to him and asked him whether he had the experience of receiving the anointment. The brother asked the man the reasons for this question.

The man said, “Brother, vile magicians are seated in the last rows of the church, and they will tie the speaker’s mouth during the sermon if they found that he had not received the anointment. The brother asked the pastor not to worry and told him that the Lord had already filled him with the Holy Spirit and anointment.

That day, he preached about the loving fire of Calvary, and many people came forward to accept Jesus Christ as the Lord. Surprisingly, even the magicians seated at the back of the church came up to submit themselves. God not only protects His children as a wall of fire, but He also guides them like flames of fire.

When you read the books of Joshua, Judges and the Kings, you can understand how God protected His children, how He fought for His children and surrounded them as a wall of fire.

When Sisera came against the Israelites to fight, the support to the Israelites came from heaven, and the stars from their courses fought against him (Judges 5:20). In the same way, God sent the hornets to cast out the Canaanites from the Israelites. They came in thousands, stood like warriors and chased out the Canaanites (Exodus 23:28).

When the Egyptians came chasing the Israelites to the shore of the Red Sea, God placed the pillars of fire between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel and thus the Egyptian army was made static. The Scripture says that while it remained as cloud and darkness to the Egyptians, it turned the night into day by giving light to the Israelites (Exodus 14:20). Dear children of God, He is one to protect you. He alone is one to guide you by giving fire anointment to you.

To meditate: “ For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him” (II Chronicles 16:9).
