“… worm Jacob,…I will make you into a new threshing sledge with sharp teeth; you shall thresh the mountains and beat them small and make the hills like chaff” (Isaiah 41:15).

God turns a small worm into a big machine. He does big wonders like breaking the mountains making use of the weak people. He puts the wise to shame by choosing the foolish ones.

Meditate this verse a bit deeply. Jacob looks like a small worm. The worm is a small and delicate creature. It has no strength like that of the rhinoceros and wings like that of eagles. It is a delicate, humble and ordinary creature among the creations of God.

You may also appear to be a too simple person among others in the world. Even someone in your family may consider you as a worm and treat you with contempt. But how you appear in the eyes of God is what is more important.

Do not value yourself cheaply. God is making you a machine. Do not get upset while facing the mountains. God has given you the power to stamp and break them. Do not get disheartened while facing the hills. You are capable of making the hills to look like chaff. Your spiritual strength on God is immeasurable. Jesus Christ said, “…you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you” (Acts 1:8). Since this strength is one coming from heaven, you can stamp the mountains and hills.

By physical appearance, Paul the apostle looked simple. A thorn kept on pricking and troubling him. Despite this, he proclaimed, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).

Though you are like a worm, God wants to use you powerfully. Instead of looking at your weaknesses, look up to the power of God. Do not rely upon your wisdom but rely upon that of God. Instead of thinking about your sorrows, get filled with the anointment of God.

Many people do not think of the grace of God but look up to themselves for strength and thereby become weary. Because of this, they are unable to do big and rare things for God. Dear children of God, God has given the sword of Spirit in your hands. So, arise like a machine of God. You will surely be the victorious ones.

To meditate: “….my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might” (Ephesians 6:10)
