Jan 26 – HERITAGE!

“And you, even yourself, shall let go of your heritage which I gave you” (Jeremiah 17:4).

God gave everything to man as heritage in Eden. He gave plants, trees, fruits and all such things. The man received the birds flying in the sky, the cattle walking on earth and fish swimming in the sea as heritage.  The man enjoyed the tree of life and the river that flew in Eden Garden.

But, when he sinned, he lost his heritage. He lost the governance and power. How could the man regain the heirship he lost in Eden? The Scripture says, “He who overcomes shall inherit all things” (Revelation 21:7). If you lead a successful life, you can turn into heir. If you want to lead a successful life, the first thing you have to do is to overcome the world, flesh and Satan.

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony” (Revelation 12:11). Jesus Christ won by trampling the head of the serpant on the Cross of Calvary. The blood that shed on His feet gave victory over Satan. May that blood enable you also to stay victorious!

The destroying angel has no right over the house in which the blood of the Passover lamb had been sprinkled. In that case, you can also be victorious if the blood of Jesus Christ, who is the Spiritual Passover is sprinkled on your conscience. Not only the blood of the lamb, but also the verse of witness gives you success. The Word of God is the most powerful weapon to overcome Satan. The word of God remains as the Spiritual sword. Jesus said ‘it is written, it is written’ and overcame every test of Satan.

You have to regain the heritage at any cost. When Satan fights against this heritage, God stands by your side in your support. When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift a standard against him (Isaiah 59:19). May you win in the name of Jesus Christ! May you regain the heritage!

Peter, the apostle, writes, “but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing” (I Peter 3:9). Inherit the blessings and the grace of eternal life. Inherit the kingdoms (James 2:5). Inherit the Salvation (Hebrews 1:14). Inherit each and everything which have been prepared by God for you.

To meditate: “But the meek shall inherit the earth and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace” (Psalm 37:11).
