Nov 12 – STRETCH OUT THE CURTAINS OF YOUR DWELLINGS!

“For you shall expand to the right and to the left….. Enlarge the place of your tent” (Isaiah 54:3, 2).

You have to expand, get exalted and should be blessed. So, enlarge the space covered by your tent with faith. Make your vision to grow.

Once, many people were fishing in a pond. One person did not get fish for a long time. In the end, he was able to catch a big fish. Though his companions were jealous in the beginning to see him getting such a big fish, later they got reconciled and talked among themselves that for a very long time he did not get any fish at all so let him enjoy the big fish now.

But the man who caught the big fish was not happy in getting it. He murmured for having caught a big fish. Within a few minutes, he put the fish back into the water. Others who saw him were quite confused. He put forth his fishing rod once again. After some time, he came out with a small fish which he happily took home for cooking.

His companions were surprised at this. They asked him “Why did you put the big fish back in the water? Why are you so happy in catching that small fish?” His reply surprised all of them. He said “The pan I have at home for frying the fish is small and so I cannot cook it. That is why I was waiting for a small fish.”

Many people get satisfied with small opportunities and minor improvements. If their visions are narrow, the blessings will also be less. William Carey proclaimed “Plan to do great things for God. Do great things for God.” You should always be the ones who keep expanding and doing great things. Paul the Apostle says, “(Be) established in the faith” (Colossians 2:7). “But we urge you, brethren, that you increase (love) more and more” (I Thessalonians 4:10). “…to abound to the glory of God” (II Corinthians 4:15).

If you want to expand, the faith in you should grow first. Only when the faith expands, the area covered by the tent will also expand. If you think that you could increase the area covered by the tent after getting expanded, you will never grow. When God called Abraham, He promised: “Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you” (Genesis 13:17).

Dear children of God, you are going to expand. You are going to develop. So, walk in the land through its length and its width and inherit the area covered.

To meditate: “May the Lord, the God of your ancestors, increase you a thousand times and bless you as he has promised” (Deuteronomy 1:11).
