Nov 22 – HIS SEED SHALL BE IN MANY WATERS !

“He shall pour water from his buckets, and his seed shall be in many waters” (Numbers 24:7).

Prophet Balaam; who was hired to curse the Israelites, was filled with the Spirit of God and started blessing the children of Israel, unaware of his own actions. The twenty-fourth chapter of Numbers contains his prophetic statements about the children of God. The waters will flow from the branches of the children of God, and their seed shall be in many waters.

When Israelites journeyed to the promised land, their paths were in the wilderness; without any water. There was no plantation around as the land was dry and arid. Even when they were in such wilderness, the Lord tells them that waters will flow from their branches. The mystery behind such statement is that the Lord wants to bless the whole world through the children of God. Children of God, you are the channels of this blessing to the whole world.

When the river of the Holy Spirit flows in you, His gifts start operating in you. And the Lord places a strong intent in you to do good for others. By the gift of healing, the Lord grants health and healing to the sick and the suffering, through you.

On the day when the Samaritan woman met the Lord, the fountain of living waters was established in her heart. And with that fountain, she was able to lead many others in her city to the Lord. The woman went into the city and said, “Come, see a Man who told me all things that I ever did. Could this be the Christ?”. And many of the Samaritans of that city believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified. Yes, she was indeed a fountain of blessing!

Look at the latter portion of today’s verse. It says; “And his seed shall be in many waters”. Yes, Lord Jesus Christ comes and dwells within you as a seed. When you sow that seed in the water, you shall see the reward of that in due time. Seed that is sown in the waters, will flow with the waters and be placed in fertile field. In the parable of the sower, the Lord also compares the word of God to a seed.

Consider a seed; however small it may be in size; it still contains life within it. That seed grows into a big tree. Children of God, the life that is in the promise of Lord Jesus, also grows into a fruitful tree and nourishes and raises up many others for the Lord.

Verse for further meditation: “As for such as turn aside to their crooked ways, the Lord shall lead them away with the workers of iniquity. Peace be upon Israel!” (Psalm 125:5).
