JULY 5 – SOLITUDE GETS CLEARED!

“As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you” (Joshua 1:5).

Of all the great things given by God to us, His presence is the greatest. No other thing is so sweet and powerful as His presence. Jesus Christ descended on the earth to give His presence to us. The Scripture says, is presence. Jesus Christ descended to the earth to give His glorious presence to us. “Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Mathew 28:20). Saying this, He continues to be with us always.

One brother belonging to the Brahmin community experienced inexplicable troubles for accepting Jesus Christ as His Saviour. One day his parents asked him whom he preferred to have, whether them or Jesus Christ. In a cool voice, he replied, ‘Jesus Christ’. When asked whether he did not require the properties and assets, he replied that Jesus Christ was enough for him. On hearing this, the parents got wild, tore his clothes and chased him away.

When that brother was walking alone on the road, he heard the voice of Jesus Christ very clearly. Jesus Christ told him, “Son, I will not leave you as an orphan”. The sweet presence of God surrounded that brother.

That day, God told Gideon, “The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valour” (Judges 6:12). The angel told Mary, “Rejoice, highly favoured one, the Lord is with you” (Luke 1:28). God looked at Moses and promised, “I am who I am” (Exodus 3:14). The same God never changes and remains with you powerfully. So, be strong and cast away all the weariness and stay afresh. God will do glorious things through you.

King David realised that God was with him. He strengthened himself by saying that he cannot be moved as he always sets the Lord before him. Since he had the feeling that God, his shepherd will never leave him, he joyously said, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me” (Psalm 23:4) and got strengthened. God stayed with David to the end and guided him and in the same way, He will also guide you.

To meditate: “And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen” (Mark 16:20).
