14 – Sep – WITH THE LORD!

“Now the Lord was with Jehoshaphat…he had riches and honour in abundance” (II Chronicles 17:3, 5).

Today, many people are running behind wealth and honour. They may run at any great speed but their goalpost moves far ahead. Jehoshaphat did not run in search of blessings but they came in search of him. What is the secret behind this? The Scripture explains this in one sentence. “God was with Jehoshaphat” is that sentence.
If you want to be blessed, God should be with you. When God is with you, honour, glory and wealth will come in search of you. Prophet Azariah said, “The Lord is with you while you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you” (II Chronicles 15:2).
Dear children of God, you should ensure every day whether God is with you. Wake up early in the morning, kneel down and meditate about His presence in you to inherit Him. Do not ever sadden Him all through your lifetime, ensure that He does not get away from you and protect his presence as you preserve your valuable treasure.
The greatness of a man does not exist based on his wealth, influence, education or wisdom. It fully depends on God’s presence in a person. God was with David and he grew higher and higher. God was with Noah and he was protected from the great flood. God was with Enoch and he was taken up without experiencing the death.
Paul the Apostle says, “If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31). Yes. When God is with you, no enemy could stand against you. No evil man can roar against you. Has He not promised, “for whoever touches you touches the apple of my eye?”
God was with Jehoshaphat. What a great testimony this is! Let the world see God in you when they look at you. Let them see that God is present in you. Let them see the gifts and the powers of the Holy Spirit are present in you. That day, the world saw the resurrected Christ with the disciples. The disciples set out and preached the Gospel everywhere. The Lord worked with them and confirmed the word through the accompanying signs (Mark 16:20). Dear children of God, believe that God is with you.

To meditate: “The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” (Psalm 118:6).
