JUNE 2 – HE LOVED!

“Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus” (John 11:5).

Jesus was loving and is loving too. Even today, He is with love and concern towards your family. That day, Jesus loved a tiny family residing in Bethany. The people in that family might have been without parents. They might have belonged to the financially low category. But despite all these adversities, Jesus loved them. He became the father and mother to them who had no parents. He ate with them and stayed with them.

Dear children of God, even today, when you call Him saying, “Jesus, come into my heart. Dwell in me,” He will surely come into you. Not only that. He will show love towards you. Jesus said, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into him and dine with him, and he with me” (Revelation 3:20).

Taste the love of God every day. The Scripture says, “As a father pities his children, so the Lord pities those who fear Him” (Psalm 103:13). “As one whom his mother comforts, I will comfort you; and you shall be comforted in Jerusalem” (Isaiah 66:13). He promises, “Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, yet I will not forget you” (Isaiah 49:15).

Stay steadfast in the love of Jesus, who loves you like a father and mother. Never sadden Him with your sins. What a great thing it is for Him to dwell in your heart! The first blessing He gives you on coming into your heart is the joy of forgiveness.

The world is longing for love. When the quantum of love gets decreased, the people begin to hate their lives. They feel sad that there is no one to show love to them. The human love may disappear, but the love, Jesus has over you will never decrease. Think about how greatly He has placed His love on you.

What a glorious miracle it was for Jesus to resurrect the dead Lazarus! Dear children of God, if you place your love upon God, miracles will keep on happening in the whole of your life.

To meditate: “Call to me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know” (Jeremiah 33:3).
