MAY 19 – OURS IS THE GOVERNANCE!

“What is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you visit him?…..And you have crowned him with glory and honour” (Psalm 8:4, 5).

Words are not sufficient to explain to what extent God has loved, exalted and elevated man. That is why, David said with all wonder, “What is the man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you visit] him? For you have made him a little lower than the angels, and you have crowned him with glory and honour” (Psalm 8:4, 5).

You have been crowned (Psalm 103:4). You remain as king in the eyes of God (Revelation 1:6). God has given you governance and authority. The Psalmist says, “You have made him have dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet” (Psalm 8:6).

Many people have to live with problems, tears, struggles, reproach and contempt only because they have not realised the importance of power, governance, strength and authority of Christ. The man who realises them leads a successful life.

There are some rules, tables and formulae in the subject of mathematics. In the same way, the Christian life also has its own rules, power and governance. Whichever man takes rebirth and turns into a child of God, will have promises and inheritances. Dear children of God, if you know this and act accordingly, no one will be comparable to you. Yes. God exalts His born again children to such levels.

The Psalmist says, “You have made him a little lower than the angels” (Psalm 8:5). But in some translations, the Hebrew word “Elohim” is used in place of the word “Angel” in the above verse. The meaning of this Hebrew word “Elohim” is God. That is why the translators who came into the scene at a later stage have translated this way.

Our God is omnipresent and He is Almighty. Dear children of God, when you live on earth, time, power and ability constraints you. But, God has crowned you with glory and honour. When you leave this world and reach the Kingdom of God, you will inherit perfect glory.

To meditate: “You have put all things under his feet. The birds of the air, and the fish of the sea that pass through the paths of the seas” (Psalm 8:6, 8).
