MAY 2 – PERFECTION IN SPIRIT!

“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh” (Ezekiel 36:26).

God is one to give all good things to you perfectly. The goodness may be related to the body, soul or spirit, and He gives them perfectly. God promises to put a new Spirit within your heart.

Why do you require a new Spirit? God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. It is your spirit which combines with that of God. The Holy Spirit contacts the spirit which God has placed within you. It is through that Spirit God gives you the heavenly revelations. Unless you receive the new Spirit from God, you cannot inherit the Spiritual blessings.

A scientist researched the different sounds made by the hen, for so many years. He invented that every hen makes 22 types of sounds. When the hen finds food particles it makes a sound, it is different from the sound it makes as a caution on seeing an eagle, still more different sound for calling the companion bird and so on. Not only that. When he completed identifying these sounds of the hen, it became possible for him to speak to them by making suitable sounds.

Speaking in tongue is essential for you if you want to talk to heavenly God. You require divine grace for that. That is why God says that He would give you a new heart and put a new Spirit within you.

“And it shall come to pass afterwards that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. And also on my menservants and on my maidservants, I will pour out my Spirit in those days” (Joel 2:28, 29).

When the Spirit of God is poured into you, all the unwanted spirits like the spirit of weariness, the spirit of fear, the spirit of distress and the spirit of unbelief are eliminated from you. Just as the darkness gets eliminated on the arrival of light, the satanic spirits also get eradicated. Dear children of God, have you received that glorious Spirit?

To meditate: “Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty” (II Corinthians 3:17).
