Oct 01 -THE fruit and the seed!

“Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth” (Genesis 1:11).^pThe seed is kept hidden in the fruit. Life is there within that seed. That life within the seed is empowered to bring out new trees from it. Just like how there cannot be a seed without fruit, a believer who does not give fruit can never gain a soul. ^pTrees yield fruits. At the same time, they give birth to seeds through the fruits and thereby keep the reproduction process on the go. The beautiful colour, aroma and taste in the fruits attract the birds and thereby the seeds get spread over to several places. This process enables the trees to multiply into hundreds and thousands and fill the earth. If the trees give out fruits without seeds, there will be no chance for them to multiply in number. ^pDear fruit-giving believers, is the seed which gains souls within you? It is not enough for you to remain a good Christian, but you should be a Christian who gains souls for God. Every individual should turn into one who gains souls. Every family should turn into a missionary family and carry out God’s work vigorously. ^pAgain, think of those fruits and seeds. The tiny seed consists of all the characteristics of a huge tree. The seeds possess the leaves, flowers, fruits and all other characteristics of the tree within them. What a wonder this is! Big trees remain confined in a tiny seed, just like how a mountain-like giant sleeps within a small bottle. ^pEvery seed has life within it. The food required for the seed to turn into a rooted plant is also there within it. In order to protect the young shoot, that seed is encompassed by a hard shell. How wisely God has created it! ^pThe Scripture says, “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field, which indeed is the least of all the seeds; but when it is grown it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches” (Mathew 13:31, 32).^pAll the children of God should possess the Word of God which is the seed with life (Luke 8:11). When you sow the seeds of the Scripture, the souls are gained. Christ germinates in their life. Dear children of God, implement the Scripture in your ministry and also in your personal life. That is what will give good yield.^pTo meditate: “But others fell on good ground, sprang up, and yielded a crop a hundredfold” (Luke 8:8).^p
