Oct – 16 – SOUL AND BODY!

“…fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell” (Mathew 10:28).

Fear God. Because it is not only your life but your eternity is also in His hands. That is why Jesus said, “…fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell” (Mathew 10:28). Think of that hell for once. Imagine the terrible punishment levied for getting away from God and how eternally one will have to undergo it. Fear God.

There was a big ceramic factory in Scotland. One servant of God visited the factory to see how the raw materials are getting melted in a high-temperature oven known as a kiln. He was surprised to see the high temperature in the kiln and the hot reddish fire like mixture coming out in a thick liquid form. He forgot himself and shouted, “If the kiln itself is so hot and fiery, how terrible the hell would be!”

A worker in that factory who was standing nearby heard these words. He began to think about what that servant of God had said. After some months, this worker came to meet the servant of God. He bitterly cried and said, “Sir, you had visited the kiln by chance and you went away after speaking a few words. But those words made me think a lot. What am I to do to escape from this hell? When I am not able to bear the heat of this ordinary kiln, how could I face the hell? Let me learn the way to escape from this hell.” That day happened to be the day of Salvation to him.

Many people do not wish to think or meditate over hell. When the presence of the Heavenly Kingdom is true the existence of hell is also a truth. Is it not? Many people argue over how the loving God will push a man into hell. God does not need to push a man into hell.  He who sins will fail to enter into the Heavenly Kingdom and he will run away from the loving God and fall into the hell. When people fail to choose God and instead choose satan and the worldly lusts, they wantonly select the evil end.

Dear children of God, may you and your family members dedicate fully to be present in the glorious Kingdom. Let the burden over your family members be with you. How bad it would be if you alone reach the Heavenly Kingdom and your children or parents or relatives suffer in the sea of hell eternally? Think!

To meditate: “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, you and your household” (Acts 16:31).
