Sep – 25 – SOME, SOME!

“And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists and some pastors and teachers” (Ephesians 4:11). Some people are pointed in the above verse through the word ‘Some.’ Do you find a place in that ‘some’? Choose some ministry and do the same with vigour. The nation is open in front of you. The doors of the Gospel and the gates of grace are kept open. You have been provided with all opportunities and comforts to do the ministry. You can do the ministry in hospitals. You can undertake street preaching. You can visit prisons and meet the prisoners. You can distribute Gospel tracts. If all these ministries are not feasible, you can go for prayer ministry. Will you pray with burden for God to take birth on the hearts of the people? God is not partial. He is not one to give all the gifts, powers, grace and talents for a few and refuse to others. When you sit in the presence of God and plead with tears “God, what is your will for me to do”. He will surely reveal His will to you. He will graciously grant you gifts and power. ‘Ask, and it will be given to you’ says the Scripture. God will definitely make you rise and shine when you plead for the souls, pray with burden for India to be met and wait for God to act. Isaiah the prophet of the Old Testament stands at the middle of history, raises his voice and tells you, “Awake, awake! Put on your strength, O Zion” (Isaiah 52:1). May you arise high; may you arise for God. May you arise powerfully for God leaving behind all your fears and defeats. PonnammaSanyasini used to stand and share the word of God in the church unmindful of her weaknesses even after crossing the age of eighty years. When we see this, the following thought comes into us “Just because youngsters, elders and healthy people have not risen for you, this weak sister has to toil for you without rest. How sad it is to see this sister travelling here and there without rest despite her old age!” Dear children of God, the world is nearing to an end. The Coming of God is also fast approaching. What is it you are doing? Will you rise in the ministry of God? One who makes you shine is very nearer to you. To meditate: “Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you” (Isaiah 60:1).
