JUNE 14 – ONE WHO DOES WONDERS!
“Who is like you, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?” (Exodus 15:11).
No one is comparable to God in doing miracles. The miracles performed by God are permanent , magnificent and blessed ones. He will surely perform miracles in your life also.
Certain evil spirits also do miracles. We read about this in several instances in the Scripture. The magicians in Egypt did miracles in the presence of Moses. Is it not? The Scripture says that false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the chosen ones. But these things cannot stand before God. That is why Moses asked, “Who is like you, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?” God is eager to perform all miracles which you require.
He performed a miracle by turning water into wine. He took a silver coin from the mouth of a fish to pay the tax due. He fed five thousand people with two fish and five loaves of bread. He brought the dead people back to life. The Scripture says, “He does great things past finding out, yes, wonders without number” (Job 9:10).
If you expect miracles from God, it is essential for you to have faith in your life. Miracles will happen only where the faith is. Jesus said that one could see the glory of God if he had faith in him.
Faith comes through the question. The question comes through the Scripture of God. In proportion to the extent you meditate the miracles of God, you will be filled with the faith that He will do the same miracles for you too. Go through all the miracles which find place between the book of Genesis and the book of Revelation, in the Bible. “Talk of all His wondrous works” (Psalm 105:2).
Apart from having faith in God for miracles, you should also open your mouth and seek from God. Plead saying, “God who perform miracles, do a miracle also in my life.’ King Hezekiah looked up to God and prayed. God commanded him a miracle (II Chronicles 32:24). On the shore of the Red Sea, people called up to Him. God did a miracle by splitting the sea into two. Dear children of God, God will surely hear your prayers and do miracles for you. He is the Lord and He will not change (Malachi 3:6).
To meditate: “You are the God who does wonders; you have declared your strength among the people” (Psalm 77:14).
