JUNE 10 – SIGNS!

“…let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years” (Genesis 1:14).

Signs are essential. They are very much important to point out the seasons, days and years. God created the stars, the moon and the sun as small and big flames. God made the rainbow the sign for Noah to promise him that the world would not have another destroyal with floods. He enabled Moses to turn his rod into a serpent and made it a sign for Pharaoh. He made the blood of the Passover offering as the sign for the protection of the children of Israel.

A harlot named Rahab tied a red thread in the window and saved her family from destruction by making it a sign. God foretold that a virgin would conceive, bear a Son and this was the sign for the coming of Immanuel to the earth. God intended to add a period to the lifespan of King Ezekiah and as a sign to the king to know this, God moved the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down on the sundial of Ahaz.

Why did God make the sun, the moon and the stars as signs? Yes. He made them the signs to get prepared for His Coming. When the earth rotates once, it signifies that one day is completed. Apart from rotating about itself, when it goes around the sun once, it signifies that a year has passed by. With this, you are determining the days, weeks and years. They remain as signs for you.

Now, the time has run out and you have reached the final stages. All the signs indicating His Coming have been true. All the prophecies are fully coming true as yes, and in Him Amen. Whichever direction we turn, the historical evidence constantly indicates His Coming. In a short time from now, the system of indicating the period as ‘Before Coming’ and ‘After Coming’ will come into use, similar to how ‘BC and AD’ are in use now.

Once, when Jesus Christ was alone in Mount Olives, the disciples asked Him what the signs would be for one to know His Coming and for the end of the world. Jesus explained many signs to them and one among them was, “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken” (Luke 21:25, 26).

Dear children of God, since the Coming of Christ is fast approaching, may you get prepared for the same with great reverence.
