MAY 23 – PREPARE AND BE READY!

“Prepare yourself and be ready, you and all your companies that are gathered about you; and be a guard for them” (Ezekiel 38:7).

What a big difference is there between ’getting ready’ and ‘being ready’. God has already given sufficient time to get prepared. He gave time to fix the flaming torch.  He gave time to procure sufficient oil to inflame the torch.

Now the time has come for the bridegroom to arrive. There is no more time to get ready. The Scripture says that only those who were ready were allowed to enter the home of marriage, and the door was shut (Mathew 25:10). Dear children of God, since you do not know in which hour your master will come, get ready immediately.

Some people say that Jesus will come back on a particular day. For example, a pastor in Korea had declared that Jesus would come on the 28th of October, 1992. But no forecast seems to be genuine.

It is an undeniable fact that we have reached the final stages of the world. You are standing at the verge of history. Jesus Christ may come at any time. You do not see the calendars or diaries to know when Jesus will come. You look up to the skies and eagerly wait for His arrival.

In the days of Noah, those who were ready were able to enter into the ark. The doors of the ark were closed suddenly. The Lord shut the door. Those who were not prepared got destroyed in the floods. But we read in II Peter 3:6 that the present world also is reserved for fire.

Today, an ark is kept ready for you. That ark is an ark of Salvation. Jesus Christ is that ark. People have to enter into Christ, who is the ark before the world getss destroyed in the fire. Only those who enter the ark will be exalted similar to how the ark of Noah was lifted over the hills.

You also will be elevated in that way. You will be lifted above the hills, sun and stars, and finally, you will meet God. Dear children of God, be always ready for the Coming of Christ. One who promises, will never go back on His promise. He will surely come. Be eager so that the day of God arrives soon (II Peter 3:12).

To meditate: “Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells” (II Peter 3:13).
