Mar 29 – CONQUERORS !

“Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us” (Romans 8:37).

This world is full of unrighteous and wicked people. The spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places also wrestle against the children of God. Even if it appears that you are constrained and cramped with trials and sorrows like unceasing waves, be assured that our Lord is with you always as a Victorious King.

Once a devoted Pastor, became weary in his heart, as he was unduly overwhelmed with the ministry activities, which he felt were beyond his capacity. He also had many issues on the family front. All these resulted in a nervous weakness and he became bed-ridden. In that situation, his dear friend and a co-worker in God’s ministry, met him and spoke very encouraging words to him. He asked him to sit up, remember all those who have helped and done good deeds to him in the past and to write letters of thanksgiving to each one of them, to reduce the burden of his heart.

Accordingly, the Pastor, started writing to all his benefactors thanking and blessing them for all their good deeds and support. Within a few weeks, he was able to send out letters to more than five hundred people. As he was doing this, his heart was filled with the love of God. He started praising God, saying: ‘The Lord has done a million times more than the Believers of my Church’. As he started praising, all his fatigue and weariness vanished away, and he was able to continue with his ministry with a renewed joy and fervour.

The Lord has not called you to fail but to be victorious. As the High Priest who constantly intercedes for you, is by your side, you will always be conquerors. There could be several reasons for you to be victorious. The first and foremost reason is that the Lord is with you. Because the Lord has said: “I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20).

Not only that. The Holy Spirit who dwells within you, is great and mighty. “Because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world” (1 John 4:4). Children of God, just as the Lord has overcome and is seated at the right hand of the Father, you shall also be victorious and reign with Him forever.

Verse for further meditation: “To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne” (Revelation 3:21).
