Mar 20 – EVEN BEFORE!

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations” (Jeremiah 1:5).

When God called Jeremiah, his age might be around twenty or twenty-five. But the Scripture says that God knew him even before he got formed in his mother’s womb. God anointed him as a prophet even before he came into his mother’s womb. He filled him with the Holy Spirit.

Dear children, you have not come into this world accidentally. God has a purpose and plan for you. He predestined and has choses you for His glory even before you got formed in your mother’s womb. God chose John the Baptist even before his birth. Even when he was in his mother’s womb, God filled him with the Holy Spirit and power.

Look at Samson. The angel of God spoke to Manoah, who was his father even before Samson got formed in his mother’s womb. God informed Manoah the instructions to be followed and the way Samson to be brought up even before Samson was born.

You might be aware of many things. But first, you should know that God knows you. God has chosen you for showing the Salvation to you, to cleanse you and to use you in His ministry.

The ministry of prophecy carried out by Jeremiah was dedicated even when he was in his mother’s womb. At the most appropriate time, God called him, anointed him, sanctified him and used him powerfully. The eternal purpose of God got fulfilled wonderfully in the life of Jeremiah.

Dear children of God, He who knew you even before the formation of the world, has willed to meet you. The lamb, who was slain for your sake, has anointed you and also has willed to write your name in the Book of Life. You are a special one in the vision of God. God has kept exclusive gift, power and ministry for you. Different people may be there, different languages may be there, different habits may be there but, amid all these things, the eyes of God have seen you and has made you a special one.          To meditate: “…whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began” (Acts 3:21).
