Mar 17 – EXEEDINGLY ABUNDANTLY!

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think….” (Ephesians 3:20).

God is one to bless you more abundantly than what you ask or think. The thing you think about is too small. What you seek in prayer is also less. But, how God has decided to bless you is with greatness and glory.

A mighty servant of God said, “When I was a boy, I wanted to become a preacher. Even at that young age, I used to stand before the grazing cattle and preach them. While preaching them, I would say ‘Jesus loves you. Will you surrender your heart to Him? All those who accept Him as the Saviour, raise your hands.’

When no one is there in the church, I will climb the altar and preach to the vacant seats and tables. Though there was none to see these things, my loving God has been watching out everything. Today, God has made me a strong missionary. He has been helping me to build several churches. He has exalted me to a great level which I never imagined or sought.” How true this is!

The brothers of Joseph caught hold of him and pushed him into a pit. Would he ever imagined that one day God would exalt him greatly, place him as the highest-level official in Egypt and his brothers would humble and bow before him? But, since God is one who blesses more than what we expect and seek, He exalted Joseph to that extent.

While grazing the sheep singing “God is my Shepherd”, David would never have thought God would make Him the great king of Israel. But how greatly God elevated and blessed David!

Likewise, when Daniel was taken as a prisoner to Babylon, he would not have even imagined that God will exalt him one day to become a ruler of that country, But, God remained as the mighty one to lift you that much.

Dear children of God, since you have decided to stand for God despite being week, He is gracious to “…open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing…” (Malachi 3:10). He will bless you one thousand times (Deuteronomy 1:11).To meditate: “The threshing floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil” (Joel 2:24).
