Mar 12 – FAITH THAT COULD REMOVE MOUNTAINS!
“…I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but …” (I Corinthians 13:2).
Paul, the apostle, speaks about the faith which could remove the mountains. Faith removes the mountains and dislodges the mountain-like hurdles. It gives you victory and leads you to triumph. All the mountains which stand as stumbling blocks in your development can surely be removed with your faith.
Jesus said, “…Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says” (Mark 11:22, 23). What is the essence of this verse? Place your faith in God, and all those things which you want will happen. All those mountains-like hurdles will get broken and will be removed. You will see them no more.
The depth of the Pacific Ocean is more when compared to the height of Mount Everest, which is the highest mountain peak in the world. Faith is one which can remove even such huge mountains into the oceans. Here, the word ‘mountain’ does not mean literally but it denotes the problems, sufferings and struggles which are huge like mountains.
Many such mountains came across the lives of the Israelites. Pharaoh rose like a huge mountain. The children of Israel applied the blood of the lamb on it and pushed it into the Red Sea through the faith. Jordan looked like a mountain to them. When the priests stepped into its water with faith, it turned back and gave way. The Wall of Jericho challenged them like a mountain. But, when they came around it with faith, it fell down to pieces.
The Canaanites opposed the Israelites like a mountain. The Scripture says, “And the Amorites who dwelt in that mountain came out against you and chased you as bees do” (Deuteronomy 1:44).
Dear children of God, when huge evil powers like mountains chase you, do not be afraid. The Amorites who were living in the mountains were delivered into the hands of the Israelites. Yes. God fought for Israel. He will surely fight for you too and push away the mountains. To meditate: “In the Lord I put my trust; how can you say to my soul, “Flee as a bird to your mountain”? (Psalm 11:1).
