Apr 12 – PRAISE AND GLORY !

“So, Moses finished the work. Then the cloud covered the tabernacle of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle” (Exodus 40:33,34)

According to the instruction of the Lord, Moses finished all the work pertaining to the tabernacle of God. Then the cloud of God’s glory filled the tabernacle. Because of that glorious Presence of God, Moses could not enter into the Tabernacle.

When Solomon finished constructing the Temple of God and dedicated it, one hundred and twenty priests blew their trumpets together, praising and thanking God, His glory and His presence filled the temple. “Indeed, it came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord, saying: “For He is good, For His mercy endures forever,” that the house, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud” (2 Chronicles 5:13).

Before the death of Moses in Mount Nebo, he looked down at the whole land of Canaan from the top of Pisgah. Then he died there according to the word of the Lord. He was one hundred and twenty years old, when he died. His eyes were not dim nor his natural vigour diminished” (Deuteronomy 34:1,5-7).

There was a man of God, who ministered sacrificially both in India and abroad. Just before his death, he got up from his bed with great difficulty and said he wanted to pray. Since he was too old, they spread out a mat, placed some pillows around, made him stand on his knees and raised up his hands. When he started praying, the light of God shone on his face, and the glory of God descended upon him. He passed into eternity, peacefully, as he was praying.

You are the temple of God, and the Spirit of God dwells within you. When you finish the race of this worldly life, you should be filled with God’s glory that covered the Tabernacle, the glory which filled the temple of Solomon. Your end should be perfect and fulfilled.

Children of God, at the end of your life, what a wonderful experience it will be to enter into God’s glory, as the servants of God and the Believers keep singing and praising God! Could there be a better end?!

Verse for further meditation: “And he said: “Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, who has fulfilled with His hands what He spoke with His mouth to my father David…” (2 Chronicles 6:4).
