Dec 21 – LORD IS WONDERFUL !

“Who does great things, and unsearchable, Marvelous things without number.” (Job 5:9)

While you are ordinary, the God who dwells in you is extra-ordinary. He is miraculous and does mighty wonders.

God performs miracles and wonders because He is compassionate and gracious. It is His love, care, mercy, kindness and compassion that brings about wonders in your life.

When Job considered this, he was amazed and praised God with a joyful heart and says: “He does great things past finding out, and wonders without number” (Job 9:10).

God does all the wonders in your life, because that is His very character and it is one of His Names. His name will be called ‘Wonderful’ (Isaiah 9:6). That is why He was performing wonders and miracles everywhere He went during His earthly ministry. All His works are wonderful. Such wonderful God will also perform great miracles in your life.

As you read the Scripture, meditate on the wonders performed by our Lord. When He said ‘Let there be light’, the sun and moon and all the stars came into existence. When He rebuked the wind, said to the sea, ‘Peace, be still!”, the wind ceased and there was great calm. When He commanded the evil spirit to depart from an afflicted person, the evil spirit left instantly. All the words of His mouth, and the deeds of His hand were wonderful. And He will do great miracles and wonders in your life as well.

Our Lord gave life to even dry bones, and brought back Lazarus to life, even after his dead body was decaying in stench. He walked on the sea and fed five thousand with just five loaves of bread and two fish. He is a wonderful and mighty God. The Lord says : “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?” (Jeremiah 32:27). The Scripture also says: “For with God nothing will be impossible” (Luke 1:37).

Dear children of God, may be you are longing in your heart to receive a wonder in your life or for the hand of God to help you from an impossible situation. Look unto the God who performs wonders and miracles. Praise Him and tell Him “Lord, You are so Wonderful”. He will definitely do great wonders and miracles in your life.

The Scripture says: “He raises the poor out of the dust, And lifts the needy out of the ash heap” (Psalm 113:7)

Verse for further meditation: “For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul.” (Jeremiah 31:25)
