Sep 05 – GOD OF PEACE!

“And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly” (Romans 16:20).

Our God is a God of peace. But, satan is the one to spoil the same. So, the battle is between satan and God. However the victory is ours. God will crush satan soon. The promise given by God in the Garden of Eden is “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head” (Genesis 3:15).

God who made this promise in the beginning, fulfilled the same on the Cross of Calvary. He crushed satan, poured His blood on him and destroyed all his deeds. The Son of God descended on earth only to destroy his deeds. It is because of this, satan is afraid of the blood of Jesus even today.

After capturing several nations, Napoleon intended to capture the entire world. He held discussions with his commanders and pointed out a world map in between to explain a point. Certain portions were marked in red colour on that map and he said, “The portions marked in red colour are the countries under the British rule and if these markings weren’t there, I would have brought the whole world under my control.”

In the same way, satan points to the bloodshed in Calvary and says, “If the blood of Jesus had not been poured on the Cross of Calvary, I would have brought the whole world under my control.” But God won over satan who is the master of death, through His death. Thus God commanded victory for us. That is why we praise God saying, “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (I Corinthians 15:57).

When satan conspires, God of peace intends to destroy him by crushing his head. Paul the Apostle firmly states that He will crush the head of satan under your legs.

Once, a social reformist said, “a child taking food with its tender hands and a strong man taking food with his strong hands are the same and what matters is the food consumed.” Similarly, even your weak hands are enough for you to hold God with. He will provide you with peace. Man reconciles with God in Salvation and the grown-up Christian rejoices, living in divine peace. Dear children of God, are you filled with divine peace?
