Nov 07 – Sing to the Lord!

“Sing to the Lord, bless His name; proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.” (Psalm 96:2)

Our God is worthy of all worship and praise! He is the One who lovingly created us, sought after us, and continues to love us without measure. When we sing, praise, and worship Him with our hearts, His presence and glory descend among us.

Once upon a time, Lucifer led the worship before God. But when he began to seek worship for himself, pride filled his heart, and he was cast out of heaven, and became the Satan. Today, that same deceiver continues to create music that captivates the hearts of young people — music that draws them away from God.

In our modern world, many young men and women are being attracted by trendy songs and follow worldly musicians and performers. They gather in huge crowds, shouting and celebrating artists who sing, dance, and perform in ways that corrupt hearts and minds. Most of today’s music and lyrics are filled with impurity, summoning unclean spirits and glorifying Satan rather than God. Through this, the devil grips the present generation tightly in his snares.

There was once a British band named Oasis, whose leader, Liam Gallagher, boldly said, “We are more popular than Jesus. We attract larger crowds than He did. Our fans think we’re more important than God.” How tragic! They ignored the very Creator who gave them life and love — failing to realize that He is the eternal Judge before whom they must one day stand.

As Scripture says: “Behold, the Lord comes… to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.” (Jude 1:15)

Dear child of God, as we live in these last days, let us be a people who worship the Lord with all our hearts, preparing ourselves for His glorious return. God has given us divine melodies to praise and worship Him — songs that lift the soul and glorify His name. As we meditate daily on the Word of God, let us also sing songs of praise that refresh our spirit.

Many old hymns are filled with deep spiritual meaning — songs born from the rich, heartfelt experiences of God’s servants. They still carry heavenly power to stir our hearts and draw us into the presence of God.

So, dear child of God, let us sing to the Lord and glorify His holy name!

Verse for further meditation: “And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with singing, with everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.” (Isaiah 35:10)
