Jun 10 – GIVE YOUR SHOULDER!

Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits, the God of our salvation! Selah” (Psalm 68:19).

Our dear Lord bore the cross for us; and we are also called to follow His footsteps and carry our cross.

Lord Jesus said, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me” (Luke 9:23).

In His love, the Lord places a cross on our shoulder: the burden for souls; and of intercessory prayer. In the name of our Lord, we are called upon to carry the burden of one another (Galatians 6:2).

Will you give your shoulder to carry the burden? To pray for the perishing souls; for the nation; and for His ministries? And when you do that, the Lord will definitely fill you with the spirit of prayer; and the spirit of intercession.

In the burial service of a wealthy man, many people offered to bear his coffin on their shoulder. His children and close relatives also came forward, as they considered it as a great privilege.

Should you not give your shoulder for the work of the Lord? When many people place their prayer requests on your shoulder, you should accept those burdens as your own, and intercede for them.

Look at how Prophet Jeremiah bore the burdens of Israelites? In his Book of Lamentations, he says: “Oh, that my head were waters, and my eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night
