Mar 27 – HE PRAYS ALONG !

“Likewise, the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered” (Romans 8:26).

The Holy Spirit is your great friend! He is the One who hears all your prayers, takes them to heaven and gets the answers for your prayers from the hand of Father God.

In your individual capacity, you cannot take a rocket to go to heaven or lay down your prayer requests to God and return. But your great friend: the Holy Spirit ascends into heaven for you and makes intercession for you with groanings.

In the times of Old Testament, the angels of God brought up the prayers into the presence of God. Prayers were lifted up as incense before God. Jacob saw the angels in His dream, as those going up and coming down from heaven. But in the times of New Testament, the Holy Spirit Himself takes up your prayers.

There are many who do not realize the great work of the Holy Spirit. Nor do they comprehend the great privilege that they have in the Holy Spirit. If you have not received the Holy Spirit so far, then please tearfully pray for the Holy Spirit and receive Him.

The Scripture says: “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” (Luke 11:13).

There was a famous American singer by the name Paul Robeson. He was loved by all his fans, and had a great stage presence. Once when he sang the song : Oh, give me your hand…and take my hand in yours, and extended his hand towards the crowd, with his usual energy and enthusiasm, the entire audience extended their hands joyfully toward him. In a similar manner, the Lord stretches out His hand and says: “I will intercede for you and lead you in the path of holiness”.

Children of God, will you extend your hand unto Him, so that He can take hold of you and your life? Will you call out to the Holy Spirit to come and dwell within yourself?

Verse for further meditation: “I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh” (Joel 2:28).
