Mar 17 – HE WILL SHOW THE WAY !

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye” (Psalm 32:8).

How wonderful are the promises of God and how comforting they are for our souls!! He is telling us with all the love that He will teach you in the way you should go.

Isaiah rejoiced in the Lord and prophetically called Him in five different names. “And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6). His counsel is not like an advice given by someone who has acquired wisdom by going through a degree course in a college. Whereas, it is the wisdom arising out of the experience which has no beginning or end. “O LORD, You are my God. I will exalt You, I will praise Your name, For You have done wonderful things; Your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth” (Isaiah 25:1).

During times of war, the army generals conduct urgent meetings to discuss war strategies. When the nation goes through a crisis situation, the political leaders conduct meeting to arrive at solutions. But you should sit the feet of the Lord, early in the morning, read the Scripture and obtain the counsel of the Lord. The Psalmist says: “ How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them!” (Psalm 139:17).

How do you obtain the counsel of God? You can discern the counsel of God through His gentle whisper during your prayer time. You can get it through the word of God. He also gives you counsel through visions and dreams.

Once a lady lost a huge amount of money to a cheat, based on his claim of having a landed property for sale. She also did not get any receipt for that payment. She could not get that money back, even after many attempts. Finally, when that lady prayed to God, with a broken heart, God asked her as to why she did not seek His counsel before making the payment? However, He assured that He will show the way for her to get back the money. He showed the face of a Judge to her mind and asked her to approach him. Now, when the lady approached that judge, according to the counsel of God, he directed the police officials to recover that amount. Children of God, always set the Lord before you, in all your ways and He shall establish you in the right path.

Verse for further meditation: “The counsel of the LORD stands forever, The plans of His heart to all generations” (Psalm 33:11).
