Mar 16 – HE WILL GO BEFORE YOU !

“For the LORD will go before you, And the God of Israel will be your rear guard” (Isaiah 52:12).

The Lord goes before you, guiding you, in His royal majesty, as the King of kings. He will make straight all the crooked paths. He demolishes all the obstacles that are in the way and leads you.

Many people are afraid of travelling to distant places. They are scared of what might happen to them or the possible dangers in an unknown destination. But the Lord is telling you with all His love that He will go before you and be your rear guard. The Lord tells you that He will be with you always, even to the end of age (Matthew 28:20).

When a family travels to an overseas destination, friends and relatives will go to the airport to send them off. Because of the love they have for that family, they will go to the airport, unmindful of the harsh weather, whether it is day or night, whether it rains or snows. Such love will gladden the heart of the family that is travelling.

When the worldly friends and relatives could take so much care and concern to be with them till their departure, and bid them farewell, you can imagine the great presence of Lord Jesus, who is the pinnacle of love. The Lord is surely with you all the time, till the end of ages. Therefore, there is no need for you to fear.

Moses, who led the Israelites toward the land of Canaan, was committed to give the Lord who protected them on their long journey as the shelter and refuge for them. He blessed the Israelites by saying: “The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms” (Deuteronomy 33:27).

What a wonderful privilege it is to be called the Children of God! And it is a greater privilege to have God as the eternal refuge. It is a rare honour and prerogative to follow in His steps, as He leads you. He sends His angels to guard you in your ways.

As you feel the presence of God, always praise and worship Him, and remain steadfast in His presence. And when you do that and live a life that is pleasing to Him, He will surely go before you and lead you along the way.
