Mar 15 – HE WILL MAKE YOU STAND !
“Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand” (Romans 14:4).
The Lord is warning you. What is that warning: that you should not judge those who have gone astray, as guilty. Because the Lord is able to bring them back unto Himself, by His love.
Once a Believer published about a wrong committed by a priest long ago, in his journal. He strongly condemned that the priest did not properly observe the day of rest. The priest concerned happened to read that journal, after many years of that report. By then, it is possible that the priest could have already confessed for that aberration and obtained forgiveness from God, and became righteous in His sight.
But the report in that journal continued to judge him as guilty. When someone tried to find the whereabouts of that reporter, it was found that he suffered from mental sickness and that he had lost his self-conscience and roaming around. What a pathetic situation is that!
The Scripture tells us: “Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand” (Romans 14:4). In the book of Proverbs, we read that the righteous may fall seven times and rise again. How much more grace the Lord will grant to the Believers in the era of New Covenant? When this is the case, how can you judge others?
Apostle Paul says: “Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each one’s praise will come from God” (1 Corinthians 4:5).
Lord Jesus Christ is observing you continually. You, who are washed and cleansed by His blood, belong only to Him. And He leads in you in His way, disciplines you, reprimands you and corrects you.
Children of God, you may often be overcome by weariness in your worldly life. But do not fear. The Lord who strengthens the weak and gives might to the feeble, will also make you stand steadfast in His love.
Verse for further meditation: “to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time” (1 Peter 1:5).
