Mar 01 – HE KNOWS !

“But He knows the way that I take” (Job 23:10)

No one could understand the way of Job. His wife cursed him and forsook him. And his friends added to his agony with their advices. Even in such state of tribulation, he says: “But He knows the way that I take; When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold”. The Lord surely knows your way of testing and tribulation.

The Lord said to Moses: “I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows” (Exodus 3:7). Yes, the Lord is fully aware of every aspect of your life. Just as He redeemed Israelites from the bondage of Egypt, He will release you from all bondages.

David says: “I am troubled, I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long” (Psalm 38:6). But the Lord who knew all the humiliation of David, prepared a table of feast in the presence of his enemies, and anointed him with the Holy Spirit.

George Washington, who established the United States of America, was once caught up in a civil war, was chased by his enemies and had to flee in order to save his life. His enemies were chasing him down on their horses. And he had to run all through the night, to escape from them. As he was running for his life, he reached the bank of a river.

Since it was a cold winter, the surface of the river was covered with ice. He knelt down at the bank of the river and prayed thus: ‘Lord, you know me and you know that my enemies are chasing me down. Now I am going to jump into this river. Please take care of my life’. And without further delay, he jumped into the river and started swimming with all his strength, and with a fervent prayer in his heart. Since he was filled with the power of God, the cold waters could not incapacitate him. He safely reached the other shore and kept on running. His enemies reached the far side of the river but none of them had the courage to swim in that cold water, and had to put an end to all their efforts to hunt him down.

Children of God, the Lord who knew and helped George Washington in his difficult situation, also knows all the difficulties and problems of your life. And in the midst of all of those issues, He is mighty to grant you victory.

Verse for further meditation: “But if anyone loves God, this one is known by Him” (1 Corinthians 8:3)
