Feb 07 – VISION !
“The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork” (Psalm 19: 1).
Everyone who loves God, can see the glory, wonder and might of the Lord in His creations. The joy of salvation in their hearts enables them to see everything with a new vision.
When you enter into a beautiful garden, you will see the green meadows, fragrant flowers of different colours, trees that provide shade from the sun and the beautiful water fountains. You will rejoice in the Lord and thank Him for the wisdom in creating all these wonderful things in nature, for your sake.
However, if an atheist were to enter the same garden, he will think in his heart that all these creations have naturally evolved over many thousand years, as per the principle of evolution. When he sees them, he is neither happy nor satisfied. The Scripture tells us clearly that: “But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned” (1 Corinthians 2: 14).
Once when a religious person and an atheist travelled together across a desert, they both lost their way. After many hours of floundering without a sense of direction, they finally found the footsteps of a camel, and they rejoiced at finding their way again. The religious person, immediately knelt down and thanked God. He also said to the atheist, “See I have found that these footsteps belong to a camel and not to a man. When you look at these footsteps, it clearly reveals that there is a camel and that it has gone this way. Similarly, when you look at the heavens, I know that there is a God who created the whole firmament. And I am able to see the handiwork of God in each and every creation, and in every tree.”
Children of God, it is God who created heaven and earth, and all His creations worship Him. You also should praise and worship Him, the maker of heaven and earth.
Verse for further meditation: “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead…” (Romans 1: 20)
