Jan 28 – Perfect Grace!
“And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all” (Acts 4:33).
You need perfect grace for you to move on to perfection. Apostle Paul says: everything is because of grace. It is because of grace that we are alive, we live a testimonial life, we do our ministry. The apostles in the early church gave a strong testimony about Christ and grew from grace to grace and moved on to perfect grace. Everyone, whether he or she is a believer or a minister of God, needs perfect grace. It is only through grace, that you can run the race victoriously. And it is only through grace, that the kingdom and the throne of God could be established.
Apostle Paul had a weakness, which caused considerable pain to him. It was like a thorn in the flesh to him. When he prayed about that weakness, do you know how God responded to him? God said: “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9). When grace is there, God’s strength will be fully manifested in your weakness and infirmities. You will be made strong in your weakness.
Those whoever do not rely on the strength of God, but in their own strength, will eventually fail. At the same time, those who humble themselves and realize that they are nothing and surrender themselves to the Lord completely, they go on to obtain perfect grace. You should always lean on the grace of God.
Apostle Paul says: “God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work” (2 Corinthians 9:8).
There are three essential things that you need to do, if you have to be abounding in grace:
Firstly, you should rise early in the morning, stand on your knees and obtain the grace of God. Because the graces of God are new every morning; Great is His faithfulness (Lamentations 3:23).
Secondly, you should always conduct yourselves in humility before God and before men. And God gives grace to the humble (Proverbs 3:34).
Thirdly, grace will abound in you, to the extent that you thank God, worship and praise Him. The Scripture tells us: “that grace, having spread through the many, may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God” (2 Corinthians 4:15).
Children of God, may you all be perfected in grace!
Verse for further meditation: “Oh, satisfy us early with Your mercy, That we may rejoice and be glad all our days!” (Psalm 90:14).
