Jan 24 – Full Gospel!
“from Jerusalem and round about to Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ” (Romans 15:19).
It is the testimony of Apostle Paul that he has fully preached the Gospel of Christ. He also gives the detail of the territory where he has preached: from Jerusalem to Illyricum. Just imagine, there were no means of transport available in those days, as in the present. There were no flights, trains or express bus services, to reach from one place to another. Print media such as magazines, books could not be produced. Radio broadcasts were not possible to preach the gospel, as these technologies were not available in those days.
While they lacked the above, they had complete dedication, sacrificial attitude and hard work, to preach the Gospel. But today, the Lord has graciously granted you all the comforts, opportunities and technologies to spread the Gospel. And you are standing at the last moment of the end of the world.
You should therefore utilize every moment that the Lord has granted you graciously, for the spread of the Gospel. Our Lord Jesus commanded: “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15). Will you fulfill that commandment? Will you preach the full Gospel, and lead people unto perfection?
There is perfect blessing to the people through full gospel. When you preach the gospel in an incomplete manner, and when the full truth is not shared, people lose out on the blessings. You also will be held responsible by the Lord for such incomplete sharing of the gospel. Look at the certainty and clarity of Apostle Paul, about his sharing of the gospel, in the following verse. “But I know that when I come to you, I shall come in the fullness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ” (Romans 15:29). Indeed, those who are filled with the fullness of Christ, shall bring the fullness of blessings unto others.
Some people argue that the Lord does not grant the fullness of blessings to any person, but He distributes the blessings in small measure to many. This argument is not in line with the above verse, Romans 15:29, which talks about the fullness of blessings. Every blessing in Christ, and every gift of the Spirit, every fruit of the Spirit and the grace of God is intended and meant for us.
Every believer could obtain all the gifts of the Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:4-31). You can give out every fruit of the Spirit, in your lives. And you can receive the fullness of the blessings of Christ.
Children of God, may you all be filled with the fullness of the blessings of Christ, and the abundant gifts of the Holy Spirit!
Verse for further meditation: “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (John 10:10).
