Jan 12 – New Creation!

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Any person who comes into Christ, with a clear determination, he or she is turned into a new creation by the Lord. The Lord completely wipes away the old way of living and makes everything new. When you accept Christ Jesus, you come into a holy family. Through that, new habits and ways of living should be formed in you in line with the holiness. Reading the Word of God and Prayerfulness should be found in you. Only then will you be able to progress in your Christian life.

Once you come into Christ, you should get rid of all the greed for money, vanity, wrath and all the sinful habits. Only then will you be able to progress in the experience of new creation. When you come into Christ, all your ways including how you clothe yourselves or your manners, will change completely. And even without you being aware, you will spend more time and in prayers and in the Word of God.

The Scripture says: “be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness” (Ephesians 4:23-24). The spirit of your mind of the inner man should be renewed. You should be continually be filled with the Holy Spirit in your mind.

In order to lead a victorious Christian life, first and foremost your mind should be filled with good thoughts. Secondly it should be filled with verses from the Scripture. Thirdly it should be filled with a Spirit of Prayer. And fourthly, it should be filled with Holiness and with the Power of the Holy Spirit. Only then will you be able to have a daily experience of growing in the image of Christ, as new creations.

We could see that in many households, the Holy Bible remains untouched. Many people also satisfy themselves with a short prayer for 5 or 10 minutes, more as an obligation. They do not commit themselves in the presence of God, to be filled with the Holy Spirit. This is why they are not able to make a steady progress in their spiritual lives.

Children of God, since the coming of our Lord is close at hand, you should have the experience of being filled with oil in your lamp. The Lord anoints you and grants you with the blessings of His Spirit. Just as the Lord has sanctified Himself for Father God, you also should sanctify yourselves and make yourself holy and perfect for the Lord.
