Jan 05 – New Spirit!

“…I will put a new spirit within them, and take the stony heart out of their flesh, and give them a heart of flesh” (Ezekiel 11:19)

Christian life is a life of steady progress, wherein you acquire new experiences. The Scripture says: “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh” (Ezekiel 36:26). Your heart should never be empty, but rather be filled with the Holy Spirit through the new anointing.

Let us imagine a glass container filled with poisonous gas. However, much you tilt and turn the container, the poisonous gas will still remain inside. If you need to complete that gas out, you need to fill the container with water. As it is filled with water, the toxic gas will be gradually eliminated. In a similar manner, as you get filled with the new Spirit, all your impurities will be washed away, and create a new heart in you.

It will be dangerous to keep your mind empty. At the time of redemption, many of diverse spirits residing inside will depart from them. The spirits of drunkenness, smoking habit, anger, irritation or that of deep sleep could all depart from them. The moment they leave you, you should fill your heart and mind with God’s presence and the Holy Spirit.

Jesus said: “When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. Then he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first.” (Mathew 12:43-45).

That is the reason why you should lead a person in the anointing of the Holy Spirit, immediately upon redemption. The heart of the redeemed person should be dedicated as a temple of the Lord and be surrendered to be ruled by the Holy Spirit. Children of God, you should not be satisfied with the anointing that you have received, but work toward gaining more souls and lead them into the experience of most high anointing, with the help of the Holy Spirit.

Verse for further meditation: “And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy” (Joel 2:28)
