Dec 29 – GOD WILL LEAD YOU UNTIL THE VERY END !

“He who has begun the good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:6)

God will guide you and lead you continually, every day of your life. He will guide you in the path of peace and as per His will. He will also lead you in complete truth. In the above verse He says that He will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. Indeed, the One who has held your hands, is faithful. He has called you by name. And He will lead you until eternity.

When you were young, your fathers would have held your hand and trained you to walk. They would have made you happy by getting you walkers and small bicycles. Even when you grow up, they continued to instruct you on how to conduct your life. While this is the case with our worldly fathers, it is only God who can guide you and lead you until the very end of the world, without ever leaving or forsaking you. The Scripture says: “For this is God, Our God forever and ever; He will be our guide Even to death.” (Psalm 48:14).

One day Lord Jesus looked at Peter and said: “when you were younger, you girded yourself and walked where you wished; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish.” (John 21:18).

In his younger days, Peter roamed around according to his will and pleasure. But later, he was called to be an Apostle. Thereafter he should be guided only by the Holy Spirit. Even if Peter is not happy, he will have to be led by the Holy Spirit and as per God’s will.

Do you want to be led in the will of God for your life? Then you should submit yourselves to be guided by the Holy Spirit. Our Lord Jesus said:  “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.” (Mathew 7:21).

That is why David prayed as follows: “lead me in the way everlasting” (Psalm 139:24). “Therefore, for Your name’s sake, Lead me and guide me.” (Psalm 31:3). Dear children of God, completely surrender yourselves to be led by the Spirit. Only that will be the upright path. And it will lead you into eternal glory according to God’s will.

Verse for further meditation: “Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you by the way you should go.” (Isaiah 48:17)
