Dec 26 – GOD WILL GIVE !
“Then He will give the rain for your seed With which you sow the ground, And bread of the increase of the earth; It will be fat and plentiful. In that day your cattle will feed In large pastures.” (Isaiah 30:23)
God intends to bless you and He will certainly grant you all that is good.
Scientists have named this world as the ‘World of Einstein’. It is because they consider him as the most intelligent and greatest among all scientists. Einstein is the scientist who discovered and confirmed the atomic theory of matter. His intelligence and wisdom are much acclaimed all over the world. He is a Jew and therefore a descendant of Abraham.
Between 16th and 17th Century, Galileo, the great astronomer, made revolutionary discoveries, including the four largest moons of Jupiter. He was Jewish by birth. Most of the great scientists, such as Thomas Alva Edison, Newton, were all Jewish. In fact, 95% of the scientists in the world are Jewish. What could be the reason for such abundant blessings on Jews? It is because God remembered Abraham and decided to bless the generations of Abraham. Abraham gave a tithe of all that he had (Genesis 14:20 & Hebrews 7:2). Similarly, Jacob made a covenant with God to give a tithe of all that God gave him (Genesis 28:22). It is because of such a covenant, that the generations of Abraham are blessed.
In the second world war, the United States and Soviet Union fought together as allies and defeated Germany. The moment they defeated Germany, they started looking for the scientists there. All of them happened to be Jewish. And it is with their intellect and scientific knowledge, that Russia conducted its first space research. There these scientists demonstrated that they could walk in the space. And the United States used the Jewish scientists to land man on the moon. Even today, whatever modern invention you may name, such as sewing machines, television sets, electric lights – all of these have been invented by Jewish scientists.
You also should give generously to God, who gave His only begotten Son – Jesus Christ, for your sake. And our Lord Jesus Christ, poured out even His last drop of blood for you to be saved. He gave Himself up on the Cross of Calvary, to grant forgiveness of your sins and the joy of redemption. Dear children of God, should you not give Him with a cheerful heart?
Verse for further meditation: “Honour the Lord with your possessions, And with the first fruits of all your increase; So, your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine.” (Proverbs 3:9,10)
