Nov 20 – KNEE-DEEP EXPERIENCE !
“Again, he measured one thousand and brought me through the waters; the water came up to my knees” (Ezekiel 47:4)
In your prayer life, you should not just stop with ankle depth or ankle level experience. You should move on to the next and important stage of knee depth experience. Now, what is knee-depth experience? It is the state of deep prayer life.
It is not enough to dwell in the joy of redemption and have an experience of being filled with the Holy Spirit. That is why our Lord is calling His children with love, into the knee-deep experience. It is not acceptable to just be content with rejoicing in the Lord, but it is essential for you to move on to an experience of intercessory prayers.
The Lord is eagerly looking for Prayer Warriors who will stand on their knees to pray on behalf of others and for the nation. He expects and is waiting for His children to kneel down in prayer along with Him. Our Lord Jesus Christ is a powerful prayer warrior. He prayed fervently and with great anguish in his heart. The Scripture tells us that He prayed with so much agony in His heart, that His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground (Luke 22:44).
All the saints of God mentioned in the Scripture, were found to be great prayer warriors, who fought their spiritual battles standing on their knees, in prayer. Even when a royal decree was passed in Babylon to abolish prayers, Daniel never stopped worshipping and praying, on his knees, with his windows open toward Jerusalem. He was determined in his heart, that even if they were to throw him in the den of lions, he will not stop praying on his knees, and continued steadfast in that. That is why, the Lord fought for him and bound the mouths of the lions, and saved him.
Stephen was also a great prayer warrior on his knees. Even when his adversaries were picking up stones to put him to death, Stephen knelt down, looked up to heaven and prayed, and he was able to see the heavenly vision. He saw Lord Jesus standing up for him, at the right hand of Father God, and Stephen was overjoyed.
Dear children of God, today there are no harsh laws in the country that prohibit us from praying. Neither do we have to fear the den of lions or being stoned to death. Our God has kept open the door of grace. And He has granted to each one of us the anointing to pray in spirit and in truth.
Verse for further meditation: “Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our Maker” (Psalm 95:6).
