Nov 14 – YOU SHALL TRAMPLE !

“Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” (Luke 10:19)

The above verse is one of the most powerful promises of God, in the Scripture. God gives you the power and authority through this promise. He is also giving you safety and protection through this promise. He also strengthens you by saying: “nothing shall by any means hurt you”.

Worldly pleasures, lust of the body and the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places are always at war against you. The fallen angel also terrifies people, so that he may get them to worship him. Adversary the devil also walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

In the midst of all of this, God stands by your side and gives you the power and authority and promises you that he will bring Satan under your foot. Just consider as to the reason why God should say that ‘you shall trample’. It is because Christ Himself has already trampled Satan under His feet, at the Cross of Calvary. It is also the promise the declaration that He made at the Garden of Eden, where he said to the serpent that He shall bruise its head. (Genesis 3:15). And God expects you to crush the head of Satan, just like Christ Jesus did on the Cross.

What is the promise of God today? “You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot” (Psalm 91:13). Many are those who always speak about their sorrows and failures, just because they carry Satan on their heads, instead of crushing him under their feet.

Dear children of God, you who are redeemed by the blood of Jesus and washed by the Word of God, should have the boldness and power in the Holy Spirit. May you trample Satan in your soul and spirit, march forward and shout victory.

Verse for further meditation: “And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly.” (Romans 16:20)
