Sep 27 – AT THE CROWING OF THE ROOSTER!

“Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming—in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning” (Mark 13:35).

The rooster knows when the dawn will be and when all other animals and birds are asleep, it crows and awakens the people to announce the dawn. This rooster resembles a child of God who announces the Coming of God to the people who are asleep.

Yes. Many Spiritual roosters who would announce the Coming of God loudly and prepare the people for the glorious occasion are very much required now. From the day of betraying Jesus, Peter would have thought of two things whenever he heard the rooster crowing.

Firstly, he would have humbled himself and prayed saying, “Lord, am I not a sinner who betrayed you? Am I not one to curse and promise against you? Protect me from doing such treacherous acts anymore.” Secondly, he might have thanked God saying, “Lord, I hear the rooster crowing. When will the sound of trumpet announce your Coming? I am eagerly waiting to meet you and I thank you for you are going to come soon.”

Since the Coming of God is fast approaching, you should remain as ones to pray for the souls, ones to raise the voice against sins and ones to announce the Coming of Christ. Though we do not know the day and time of His Coming, we can see the signs of His Coming everywhere. We see the fulfilment of the prophecies of God. Can you stay idle without raising your voice?

The Scripture mentions the Coming of God on more than three hundred occasions. All the Apostles have written about the Coming of Christ in their Epistles. The Scripture says, “For the Lord, Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus, we shall always be with the Lord” (I Thessalonians 4:16, 17).

Dear children of God, dedicate yourself to remove all the sins and curses from you, as the day of His Coming is fast approaching and to prepare others also in the same way. Remain like a rooster to announce the Coming of God like His angel.

To meditate: “He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus” (Revelations 22:20).
