AUG 28 – ON THE WAY YOU CAME!

“Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you came, has sent me that you may receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit” (Acts 9:17).

Ananias reminds an important thing to Paul the Apostle by saying, ‘on the road as you came.’ God intervened on the way when Saul came as a trouble monger. As he was coming near Damascus, suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. That was the occasion when God turned Saul into Paul.

In which path are you going? Are you going against the children of God and thereby saddening God? Are you walking in the way of curse? God likes to intervene and straighten your path.

A brother had planned to go to Dubai to earn money. A few days before his departure, he visited his friend’s home in Chennai. At that time, a few of the friends planned to go to the beach for praying at night. This brother also joined them and went to pray. When they were sitting in a circle and prayed, the Holy Spirit powerfully descended on them.

The brother who had planned to go to Dubai got immeasurably filled with spirit and fire. The anointment kept on overflowing in him for several hours. Do you know what happened in the end? The man who had planned to go to Dubai for earning money changed his mind and submitted himself to become a full-time servant of God and to gain souls.

Commit your ways to God and rely upon Him. Then He will make your way prosperous. Not only that. God will come with you in all your ways. No more you shall walk alone.

Moses told the children of Israel with love, “….you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a man carries his son, in all the way that you went until you came to this place. …..who went in the way before you to search out a place for you to pitch your tents, to show you the way you should go, in the fire by night and in the cloud by day” (Deut. 1:31, 33).

Dear children of God, have you deviated from the path of God due to the bitterness caused by the numerous defeats? Are you worried whether you will have a relief? Come back to the path of God with hope. He will guide you in the path of holiness.

To meditate: “For the Lord will go before you, and the God of Israel will be your rear guard” (Isaiah 52:12).
