AUG 15 – DIVINE PEACE!

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6,7).

Jesus Christ is one to provide divine peace graciously that surpasses all understanding. He is the one to bless you with His divine peace. The most wonderful among the names given to Jesus Christ is ‘Prince of Peace’. When He was on the earth, Wherever He went and whomever He met, He commanded peace to all the people.

There is a mention of a woman who had a flow of blood. It was a never-ending disease for her. She had been suffering for twelve years. No doctor was able to cure her. So, she had lost peace in her life.

But, one day, she came to know that Jesus Christ was coming that way and she went amidst the crowd and touched the tip of His garment. As she touched the edge of the garment of Jesus Christ, the power of God descended on her powerfully and she received the divine healing. The Scripture says, “And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction” (Mark 5:34).

Once a sinful woman came running and fell on the feet of Jesus. She cried and washed the feet of Jesus with her tears. Her sins and iniquities were so huge, and so she was devoid of peace. Jesus saw her pathetic situation. He said, “Your faith has saved you. Go in peace” (Luke 7:50).

After Jesus Christ had died on the Cross, All His disciples were terrified. They feared that the Jews might harass them also. They had no peace in them and looked weary. At that time, Jesus appeared before them and said, “Peace to you” (Luke 24:36).

Dear children of God, you may be worrying about your problems. When you pray after placing all your problems in God’s hands, He will fill you with His peace which surpasses everything.

To meditate: “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27).
