AUG 13 – JOY IN PRAISE!

“Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous! For praise from the upright is beautiful” (Psalms 33:1).

If sorrows bring sickness, ruin the life and reduce the lifespan, joy will be the ideal medicine for the purpose. Is it not? Happiness of the mind will remove the sicknesses, glitter the face and increase the lifespan.

A doctor researched the factors which cause cancer disease in a man. His research revealed that factors like terrible defeats in life, sufferings, disappointments and sorrows happen to be the root cause of the disease. He also found out that sadness caused by sudden separations in family, treacherous acts of either the husband or the wife, huge unexpected losses in business ventures etc. create viruses in one’s body and within a period of six to eighteen months, the viruses turn into cancer disease.

The true joy is in the praise made through singing and dancing. When you rejoice by praising God from the bottom of your heart, all your worries run away from you and the sweet presence of God surrounds you. Healing is there in His wings. Is it not? (Malachi 4:2).

Heartily praise God with happiness and a smile as soon as you wake up early in the morning. Let one who dwells among the praises fill you with His presence. Every day, raise your voice and say, “This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalms 118:24). If you do that, you will be happy for the whole day.

Worship God happily with a smiling face and praise Him by singing and dancing. The Scripture says, “Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them” (Psalms 126:2).

“For the joy of the Lord is your strength” (Nehemiah 8:10). So, believe that Christ who is the strength is holding your hand. With all enthusiasm, say repeatedly, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).

Dear children of God, lift your hands and praise God. “Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord” (Psalms 134:2). This the way to happiness. God likes and expects you to stay delighted always in God.

To meditate: “Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth; break forth in song, rejoice, and sing praises” (Psalms 98:4).
