JULY 28 – YOU HAVE COME!
“But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels” (Hebrews12:22).
The Christian family is a sweet, great beautiful family. When one comes nearer to Jesus Christ, he comes into a blessed experience. He comes towards a close relationship. He comes towards eternal blessings. The above verse begins with ‘But you have come to.’ Where have you come? You have come to the heavenly family where there are thousands of angels. Let us meditate about this.
In our family, we have strong, mighty angels and also beautiful looking Cherubim. There are also Spirits of service who come running to us at the appropriate time to serve us. Some angels protect and carry us so that we do not dash our foot against a stone. How many angels have been commanded by God to serve us! The Scripture says, “But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit” (I Corinthians 2:9, 10).
Today, many people fear satan, but they fail to realise how happy it is to have so glorious angels in our family. They always talk about satan, demon, magician and sorcery, but they fail to think about the divine angels, whom God has given us to hit, break and defeat all those evil things.
When satan was pushed out from heaven, he did not fall alone but pulled one-third of the total angels in heaven to the earth. Two thirds will be the balance. So, if satan sends one demon to attack you, God will defeat satan and protect you by sending angels who will be double in number. That is why you remain victorious.
Since you are the own children of God of gods, God has given you strong angels as Spirits of service to you. God has commanded angels to help each and every believer as a Spirit of service. But, you have come to an innumerable company of angels.
Once a king waged war against Elisha and surrounded the place where he was staying. The servant of Elisha was afraid and he said, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” Do you know what the reply of Elisha was? “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them” (II Kings 6:15, 16).
To meditate: “The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge” (Psalms 46:11).
