JULY 27 – FAITHFULNESS OF MOSES!

“And Moses indeed was faithful in all His house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which would be spoken afterward” (Hebrews 3:5).

Read the beautiful witness given by the Scripture about Moses. Moses was faithful in God’s house and everything. He was faithful before God and men as well.

“Drawn from water” is the meaning of the name Moses. During the time of birth of Moses, many children had to die getting immersed in the water of the river Nile. But God showed love to Moses, lifted him from water and made him grow in the house of Pharaoh. Moses did not forget that love and remained with gratitude.

The Scripture says, “By faith Moses when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he looked to the reward” (Hebrews 11:24 – 26).

If you read the whole Scripture, you will come to know the secret behind God exalting a man. When one is faithful over a few things, God will make him the ruler of many things. If one is faithful while being made ruler over many things by God, God will further exalt him by giving more responsibilities and guarantees.

God, who saw the faithfulness of Moses, gave him the huge responsibility of leading the whole children of Israel from Egypt towards Canaan. It was through Moses, God gave the law to the children of Israel. God performed many miracles through Moses both in Egypt and the wilderness. If the life of Moses is seen, one can find God giving good witness about him in several instances.

Not only that. God said, “Then He said, “Hear now my words: If there is a prophet among you, the Lord, make myself known to him in a vision; I speak to him in a dream. Not so with my servant Moses; He is faithful in all my house.  I speak with him face to face, even plainly and not in dark sayings; and he sees the form of the Lord” (Numbers 12:6 – 8).

Dear children of God, if you too stay faithful as Moses, God will speak to you also face to face.
