JULY 25 – CAN WE ACCUSE OTHER!

“For we know in part ” (I Corinthians 13:9).

Human knowledge is deficient. How could one find fault with others when there is dearth of knowledge in him? Today, the habit of accusing others is spreading rapidly like an infectious disease and is degenerating the Spiritual world. It has become essential for everyone to know, to what extent one can accuse others and what the Scripture says concerning this.

Jesus Christ said, “Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First, be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift” (Mathew 5:23, 24).

One can find fault in those saved, in those anointed and in the servants of God. The reason is that all these people are just human beings. It is also quite natural for them to falter. Fast and pray for the servants of God when you find fault with them.  If you want them to realise their shortcoming, meet them personally and point out the things to them when they are alone.

This is what Prophet Nathan did when David sinned. The effort of Prophet Nathan paved way for David to confess his sin and return to God. Is it not? Instead, discussing the same with many people openly, attacking loudly from pulpit and making attacks through journals will not do any good but only make satan happy. He is the accuser of our brethren day and night (Revelations 12:10). Is it not?

The duration you are going to live in this world is very less. How useful it would be if that short tenure is made use of in praising the glory and greatness of God! How useful it would be if that short tenure is used in harvesting souls and delivering them from hade! If you waste your days today accusing others, you will have to lament in eternity over wasting the golden opportunities God had given you.

People who accuse others do this only because they do not have love over God and do not have a real thirst for harvesting souls. Another reason for them to do this is the jealousy burning in their hearts. Jesus Christ said, “Judge not” (Mathew 7:1). Dear children of God, realise that every minute God gives you to stay in this world is a gift and make use of it. Submit yourself to pray with a burden. Then, you will be blessed.

To meditate: “Do not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb” (Psalms 37:1, 2).
