Apr 24 – He Will Accomplish Everything!
“The Lord will perfect that which concerns me.” (Psalm 138:8)
Many people in the world today cry out in distress: Who will plead my case? Who will help me? Who will take responsibility for my matters and see them through?
But David placed all his burdens and all his trust upon the Lord and declared with confidence, “The Lord will perfect that which concerns me.”
A man once lived in a rented house for many years and became deeply troubled. He had no money to build a house of his own and wondered what he could do. Holding firmly to today’s promise verse, he began to pray earnestly in faith. The Lord took care of everything and provided the necessary money.
However, he did not have the ability to supervise the construction. He feared that contractors might take his money and deceive him. Once again he trusted the promise and declared in faith, “The Lord will perfect that which concerns me.”
Then, unexpectedly, an old friend who was experienced in construction came forward and took responsibility for the work. In the end, a beautiful house was completed for him.
The Lord says: “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?” (Jeremiah 32:27)
Look to the Lord your God whom you worship. He loves you, and He is powerful enough to accomplish everything for you. He is able to raise children to Abraham even from stones (Luke 3:8). Even if flames surround you, He is able to protect you from the fire (Daniel 3:27).
He is able to fulfill what He has promised (Romans 4:21). He is able to bless you far beyond what you ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). And what you have committed to Him, He is able to keep until that Day (2 Timothy 1:12).
Perhaps the circumstances around you are frightening. Doctors may have said it is impossible. Lawyers may have said it cannot be done. The enemy may whisper discouraging words: Marriage will not happen; you will never have a child; you will never be able to secure a job; or your ministry will never flourish…
Do not be afraid. The One who is with you is the Almighty God. In every circumstance, let your eyes look to Him alone, with love and confidence, declaring: “The Lord will perfect that which concerns me.”
The One who completed everything for you in creation, and the One who completed everything for you on the cross at Calvary, will surely complete everything for you even in your present situation.
Children of God, the Lord will accomplish everything for you. His promises will surely be fulfilled.
Verse for further meditation: “I will cry out to God Most High, to God who performs all things for me.” (Psalm 57:2)
