Mar 20 – Bring Divine Love !
“There is no fear in love; perfect love casts out fear” (1 John 4:18).
The power of God that overcomes fear is love. Therefore, whenever you are afraid, bring divine love before you. “We have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him” (1 John 4:16).
The Bible says, “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us” (1 John 4:18,19).
Someone asked a question to the boys and girls in a Sunday school. “What will you do, if you are alone in a room, and suddenly Satan comes and knocks at the door?”. Some of the girls said they will be so afraid, they will hide under the bed. Some others said, they will not open the door at all. Some of them said, they will command Satan to go away. But one girl, stood up and boldly answered, saying, “If Satan knocks on the door, I will ask Lord Jesus to open the door, and Satan will flee away.” What a wonderful answer!
Those who love Jesus are filled with the love of God, so fear does not overcome them. Therefore, receive God’s love. The Bible says, “Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us” (Rom. 5:5).
When you are in the Presence of God, you do not need to fear anything. Your heart is filled with great courage when you are in the presence of God. When the presence of the Lord surrounds you, you will feel that thousands of angels are with you, and the whole heaven is behind you.
When an ordinary policeman makes efforts to pursue and capture a criminal, he is not really afraid, as he feels the whole police force is behind him.
The Lord has promised and says, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest” (Ex. 33:14). “I will not leave you nor forsake you” (Josh. 1:5). “I am with you always, even to the end of the world” (Matt. 28:20). Children of God, always feel the presence and fellowship of God.
Verse for further meditation: So we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” (Heb. 13:6).
